We had made it to an unfinished room that seemed like it was supposed to be an attic. Open walls, insulation everywhere, and no drywall yet.

“Guys.. why are we going up? Will we even be able to get down from up here?” I asked wearily looking down from a window we passed.  We’re high up in this building that was a good twenty three stories high.

“I know a way, don’t worry” Luke finally decided to share with the group.

“Luke you’re insane man.. “ Michael said as we reached a broken corner of the building, it looks like they never finished this wall, or perhaps it had broke and they were still into fixing it.. But right outside this window was a little wooden triangle shaped platform. This platform went all the way down. Luke hopped out of the broken corner onto the platform. We all watched awfully nervous as the platform swayed a little with the newfound weight that happened to be Luke.

Instead of working his way down the platform, he held his hand out to help Michael onto it. “Luke you are a nut, and excuse my lack for better word.. there's young ears around.”

He cautiously thought about not cursing in front of Lollie. “Hey! I’m not young! I’m six!” she yelled from behind him.

“Well it’s nice to finally hear you say something Miss. Lollie!”

Luke said trying to make sure she didn’t notice how nervous he was. She just giggled. It’s amazing she’s so oblivious to our extreme nerves; it’s all like a game to her.

“Lollie it’s your turn love” Luke said as he motioned her to come to him with a silly grin on his face.

“Lukey, I’m scared…” she said quietly as she slowly walked over to Luke.

“Hey, hey. Don’t be upset. It’s a big jungle gym! And it’s not like anything is going to happen to you, we’ve got you here.” He smiled softly as he reached his hand out to her. She tightly grabbed onto his hand and stepped over onto the platform.

“Just follow Mikey, he’ll show you how.” He explained to her.

“You’re coming too right Lukey?” she asked with big puppy dog eyes directed to him.

“Of corse I am love, I need to help Bailey first!” she nodded in understanding and began climbing down to where Michael had paused to stay close to her.

“Bailey your turn” he said with a expression I can’t describe on his face. One that mixed with excitement and nervousness all in one.  I looked down once I got to the edge and really saw how high up we really were and took a step back.

“Soo... Would now be a bad time to tell you I’m, uh, kinda sorta afraid of heights…?” I asked nervously.

“There’s nothing to be afraid of, I’m here. I’ll keep you safe.” Luke said as he reached out his hand and waited patiently for me to get onto the small structure. Once he helped me on, one hand I had was on the structure, and the other was on the bit of floor board that was sticking out from the building. I had zoned out just staring at my hand that’s on the building, thinking of all the scenarios of how I could die. I could fall off this platform, this wood could bre-

“That’s cool” my thoughts were interrupted. I shook my head a little erasing my thoughts

“What’s cool..?” I asked thoroughly confused.

“You don’t trust me, Bailey I told you we would be fine, and I’m telling you again. We will be okay. We’ll get out of this place I’m sure of it.” He said looking out at the empty desert below us, and his eyes flickered elsewhere, so I decided to follow his path, curious to what grabbed his attention so quickly. There was a guard walking around the outside of the building. Not coming towards us but towards the front of the building, it sounded like there was a lot of commotion. Suddenly I felt a little movement and looked down at Michael who Luke must have told. Blues and their telepathic abilities.
