Chapter6 Merchants Daughter

After her rendezvous Lei lei wakes up feeling low. *I did not have much fun yesterday, that stupid prince.*

An eunuch arrives and declares "Miss Lei lei please recieve this edict. The emperor wants you to the palace to see him. Please accept."

Lei lei bows and receives the edict. "I thank the emperor." as she bows. *Stupid emperor what does he want!* She then proceeds to her room to sulk. "Mei prepare my clothes and do not forget my veil."

Lei lei proceeds to wear her clothes it was all white tied with a blue ribbon belt her hair long straight flowing freely. She then proceeded to wear her veil topped with a simple thin crown to keep the veil from moving. She then smiles while looking at herself in front of the mirror.

When she arrives from the palace she then immediately proceeds to the emperor to report so things will be over.

"Greetings your highness." bowing lowly.

"Lei lei how are you? To see you have arrived here after receiving my order zen thinks you are healthy."

"Yes, thank you."

"Zen called you here to tell you that one day from now is the moon banquet. Zen expects you to be there because your engagement to the 2nd prince will be announced." The emperor looks at Lei lei scrutinizing her why she is wearing a veil.

"Yes Lei lei will be there." as she bows. *You scheming emperor the hell.*

"Zen would like to ask what is wrong with your face, why are you hiding it?"

Lei lei sneers "To reply to the emperor  I was just making myself mysterious so I can surprise the prince during our engagement. Thank you for the concern."

"That is good to hear. Now you may go." Nobody wants to marry a defective woman and it would be an insult to the royal family.

Lei lei was very happy that it already ended. As she was on the hallway she unexpectedly saw the prince.

The prince also saw her and proceeded to meet her. "What's with your get up?" as he looks at her up and down. "Is this your new way to catch my attention?" as he suddenly grads her wrists.

"Prince..." as she tries to wriggle out from the grip.

Incidentally the general also passes by to report to the emperor he sees the prince gripping Lei lei. He was so furious and cuts the two. "What is the meaning of this?!"

"I was just talking to my soon to be princess and who are you to but in? The hell its you again from the market" as the prince points at the general.

The general did not mind the prince as he scoops up Lei lei in princess style and carried her away from the prince. The events were so fast that the prince did not have time to process it.

In the small garden the general places Lei lei on the chair softly as he tries to be gentle to her. He then proceeded to hold her hand and check the wrist which the prince gripped tightly. He saw hand print marks on the delicate skin of his beloved. He wanted to kill the prince but not today he cannot act this way because it might frighten his beloved and now is not the right time.

"Uhhmm.. Excuse me?" the general then proceeded to sit beside Lei lei and caresses her hands. "Does it hurt?"

"Uhmm... It does but Thank you mister." she politely said. She then stands up and bow at the person. She does not have time to inspect who the person is and the veil was obstructing her veiw she cannot see well. She then proceeded to run.

*Ahh Lei lei you just ran away from me. Next time you cannot run.* He smiles and proceeds to report to the emperor.

Lei lei was so flustered her brain was not working properly. She boarded her carriage and went home straight.
