Chapter7 Merchants Daughter

The day of the banquet came and Lei lei is still not herself. She was depressed that things are going so fast that she did not have time to prepare. She was just wallowing the whole time.

In her room the things needed to be prepared for the banquet is done, the jewelry and clothes are all laid on the bed. Lei lei were being helped by 3 maids to assemble her outfit. The clothes are all white with a hint of lily patterns at the end. Her hair was braided and they placed some pins that is crusted with white diamonds on the braided part they wanted to let Lei lei wear lots of bangles but Lei lei opted for a single red jade braclete which made her skin allot more whiter. Lastly was the pink veil to cover her face.

Everything was prepared and it was time to go to the palace. As she arrive at the palace the enuech announces her arival. People were busy gossiping then it became quite and turned there heads at the entrance of the garden.

There Lei Lei walked the cobbled stones slowly with confidence. Her dress was so simple yet it made her like a fairy. Accompanied by the veil that gave off a mysterious vibe on what she looks like. Her slim figure walked until it reached the emperor. " Greetings to your highness" as she bowed. "You may stand."

As soon as she stands she immediately proceeded to take her seat at the front tables.

As soon as the party would be starting the prince suddenly stood up. "I would like to make an announcement. This prince would like to tell everybody that I already have someone I like and nobody can stop me. This prince is asking for forgiveness to the emperor. Su Ming." As he gestured for her to come up beside him.

A girl wearing light green clothes with a silver hairpin went up beside the prince. Her movements were so etheral has so much grace coupled with her head hanging low showing how shy she is. Everybody was captivated by here meek attitude and simple appearance, though she was looking plain it did not hide the beauty she has. As she stood beside the prince who is also known to be handsome she did not lose also in appearance she actually complimented as they were seen as a golden couple.

"This is Su Ming third daughter of the prime minister. The person this prince loves." as the prince proudly declares.

The emperor who is sitting on the throne was looking at the foolish prince.

Lei lei who was sitting does not give a damn on what was happening she was thinking on how to proceed with the events.

"Mu Lei lei this prince would like to request for mutual separation for the both of us. I do not love you and has no intention on marrying you. You have a hideous reputation and face since the accident. This prince does not want to have a scarred princess by my side."

The crowds gasps and lots of people were whispering.

Lei lei stood up and bowed "Emperor I Mu Lei lei agrees to mutual separation suggested by the prince since we already do not like each other I agree to this. Asking you highness for forgiveness and permission to grant this request."

People began to whisper that the girl Mu Lei lei do not the prince? Everybody knows how obsessed she was to the prince.

The emperor sighs, the event has not begun yet but there were so.many issues already. He thought that maybe he was wrong in his past decision. He began to frown. " Mu Lei lei are you sure you want to break this off? You as a maiden will be labeled as a discarded woman if you break this and will have a hard time finding a husband."

The general stood up from his seat. " Requesting the emperor for me to speak."
