The three of us were eating lunch up here at the school's rooftop. I have to admit, I was quiet enjoying the show.

It just so happened that Maria planned a picnic for just the two of us. But she was to see me and Denver together, alone and to make it more or less better; she saw our faces close to each other. She burned, and I wasn’t kidding, I saw flames emitting from her.

It was hilarious.

Now we were sitting on a picnic blanket eating together. It's not awkward at all. Denver talked nonsense, Maria listened with an annoyed expression on her face and me... like I said, I was enjoying the show.

Though I have to admit, the food she brought was delicious; sandwiches, pasta and juice. My mom would be disappointed, because I couldn't eat the lunch she prepared for me.

After a few minutes, we all finished.

"That was tasty!" said Denver

"T-thanks." And I could see Maria's plastic smile. Then she turned to me and asked "How about you Joseph, what do you think?"

"It was delicious." I smiled a bit, just a bit. It was the first time I smiled after a long time, and I never thought she'd be the one to make it happen. She blushed, the reason why my smile faded away. I should've known better than to do that.

"Joseph, want to cut class?" I thought you'd never ask Denver.

"Sure." I stood up and stretched my arms. But then Maria pulled on my pants and said "You can't cut class!" If I've known better, I'd just say that she didn't want me to spend time with Denver.

"Why can't I?" I asked.

"Your Mother notified all the teachers that they should give special attention to you. If you cut class, they'll immediately notice if you're gone! And you'll get in trouble if you do!" Darin it! She has a point. But how did she know that much? This just proves that she is a stalker.

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that, it all happened the day after Joseph fainted, Mrs. Strauss had a meeting with all the teachers to explain your situation." WHAT?! Even Denver knows that much!? So here's another stalker. I need to be with a better circle of people.

The bell rang, signalling five minutes left before classes start.

"Let's go Joseph!" Maria pulled me away. Denver didn't do anything he just waved goodbye and sat on the table I knew he wouldn't get my situation!

Now it's just the two of us, going down the stairs, it was only two sets of stair cases, with six steps each so I thought it would be over quickly, but at the last step of the second staircase, she suddenly pinned me to the wall.

"Joseph, I don't want you anywhere near him." she said with a dark glare in her eyes.

I was irritated; I never thought she'd have the knack to tell me what to do.

"Can't I have friends?" I asked her with a serious tone.
