Inko burst through the double doors of the hospital, "Where's my son?!" she panicked. A couple doctors walked out from behind the silver check in desk and asked her a few questions before guiding her to the waiting room near the emergency room door where Katsuki had been sitting for the past hour. Mitsuki came in soon after, bursting with anger and disappointment. "What the hell is wrong with you, boy?!" she yelled into Katsuki's ear. He just sat there staring at the olive green wall, speechless. He felt terrible, heartbroken even. It was his fault and he knew it. "I'm sorry, mom..." he muttered, his voice scratchy and frail from holding back tears. He looked down at the navy blue carpet below his feet, full of dispair. Mistuki could see and hear the pain and regret in his eyes and voice. "It's not me you should be apologizing to." She said sternly, trying not to show her empathy towards her son. Katsuki turned towards Inko who had been sitting there staring at the door anxiously. He felt tears begin to form in his eyes, threatening to fall. "I'm so sorry miss Midoriya..." He said, practically wailing. Inko didn't dare look him in the eyes. She kept her gaze on the door, still frantic. "It's okay... It's okay..." she whispered back.

Another hour went by. Inko's gaze hadn't keft the door. Finally, a doctor came out and greeted her. "We've done everything we can do for now. He hit his head pretty hard and also managed to break his foot. Though he is alive and breathing and all his vitals are shockingly in perfect shape, he is currently in a coma. We're expecting him to come out of the coma in a couple days but we'll probably have him transferred to the psychiatric hospital down the road, if we feel that he may still be in danger of hurting himself again." Inko took everything in and did the paperwork handed to her by the doctor.

They were allowed to go in and visit him. Both Mitsuki and Inko went in, but Katsuki couldn't bear to see Izuku. At least not while they were there. "I'm going home." he said to his mom. Mitsuki nodded and Katsuki walked out trying to look and act like nothing happened.

When Katsuki got home, he ran straight to his room and let himself fall onto the bed. Finally he was alone and he could just let everything go. He cried. Tears gushed out his eyes, his heart hurt, he struggled to breathe. He started coughing again. The coughing got so bad that blood started to come up with the petals. He coughed until a bud of a rose came out. It was soaked in blood, he mistook it for a clot at first. He sat up, leaning over what was basically a whole rose he had just coughed up. The tears still fell, he was just silent. What the fuck he thought to himself.

There was a knock on the door. Katsuki's heart practically stopped. He quickly swept the petals into the trash bin and wiped the blood off his mouth. Blood stained his white sheets. He shifted himself to cover up the spots for the time being. "Come in." Katsuki said wiping the tears off his cheeks. Mitsuki peered into the room. He couldn't look his mom in the eye. "I bought you food," she said gently, acknowledging her son's regret and despair, "I'll leave it on the door." Mitsuki hung the plastic bag on the doorknob and left. Katsuki slid off his bed onto the black carpet of his room and scooted over to the door. He grabbed the bag off of the doorknob and peered inside. There was a couple pieces of gyoza in a paper box. He shoved it in his face without hesitation. He hadn't realized how hungry he was. Though, even after eating he still felt empty.
