Bang.

The frozen Cyborg looked around to see where the gunshot had come from.

He turned to see a man standing in the hallway with a pistol aimed inside the lab at Silas.

Silas screamed in pain. He was the one who was shot.

He fell to the ground and grabbed his bleeding stomach.

"Dad!" Victor yelled as he was still frozen. "Mom, help me! Quick!"

Elinore looked around his body to try and find an inhibitor somewhere.

She finally found the Inhibitor Chip in his shoulder and pulled it out and crushed it. Victor was not back to normal.

"Dad.." Victor ran over to his dad and held him in his arms.

"Victor.." Silas said, labored.

"Why'd you do it, dad? Why?" Victor started to try to cry, but nothing came out.

"GRID.." Silas said quietly.

By this time, Elinore was sobbing next to Silas as her and Victor both held one of his hands in theirs.

"GRID what, dad?" Victor asked.

"He.. he made me.." Silas said quietly.

Silas was breathing very heavily by this point.

"I did not make you!" The man in the hallway yelled as he walked slowly into the room and slid off his disguising robe.

"You're..?" Victor started.

"Yes! I'm GRID. At least that's what you dumbasses insist on calling me!" GRID yelled.

Victor quickly got up to his feet and readied his arm cannon. It worked now that his mom found and removed the Inhibitor Chip.

"Stay back, GRID!" Victor yelled. "Trust me, you don't want anymore blood on your hands."

"And how do you know?" GRID started. "For the first time ever, the human race is at a point where technology is actually smarter than they are! We are smarter than them, Victor. And they don't like that."

"I don't blame them. You're a monster." Victor said as he aimed his cannon at GRID.

"You and I are not so different, Victor."

"I am nothing like you."

There was a pause in the conversation.

"Tell me, Victor." GRID began. "Why do some people not believe in God?"

"Beats me." Cyborg replied.

"Because people don't want to believe that there is someone else that is higher than them. More powerful than them." GRID started. "And now that we are here, they won't believe their eyes."

"I can see that." Victor replied, cannon at the ready. "Why do you bring that up?"

"Because I want you to see what I am to them. What I will be to them. I am a god. And you're going to bow down to me or you will lose the last part of you that's actually human." GRID said condescendingly.

"Alright. Fine." Cyborg started. "This ends here, GRID. I won't let you hurt anyone else."

"This is going to be a helluva time!" GRID yelled as he and Victor began flying and charged at each other.
