Hitomi: *yawn* Oh! Excuse me, that was terribly rude.

Sayaka: What's up, Hitomi? Didn't get enough sleep?

Hitomi: I was up late last night talking to the police and getting checked out at the hospital. Apparently, I was sleepwalking or some such thing, but there were several other with the same symptoms. The doctors said we most likely suffered a mass hallucination. So, I have to go back to the hospital after school today for more tests.

Lillyan: After all that, you shouldn't have come to school today.

Hitomi: But if I stayed home, everyone would think I was sick! My parents are already worried enough.

Sayaka: Spoken like a true honors student! That's our girl!

*Homura turns to stare at Sayaka as she laughs at her own comment*

After school...

Sayaka: *sigh* I haven't felt this good in a long time.

Madoka: Sayaka, aren't you scared?...

Sayaka: Maybe a little. I mean, that Witch wasn't too strong, but when I start thinking about how I could have lost the two of you and Hitomi... Man, that scares me way more. So, I feel sort of... confident, more at ease. I kinda wanna congratulate myself, too. As a Magical Girl, I promise that I, Miki Sayaka, will do my best to protect the peace of Mitakihara City!

Madoka: Are you sure you don't have any regrets?

Sayaka: I think... it'd be that I waited as long as I did... If I was a Magical Girl when Mami fought Charlotte, then maybe-

Lillyan: Don't beat yourself up about that. I should have been paying attention.

*Sayaka pokes Madoka's cheek*

Sayaka: Hey, don't you start going "could've, should've!" It's okay if don't wanna be a Magical Girl, too.

Lillyan: A-and it's still alright if you do.

*I lean towards Madoka and whisper to her*

Lillyan: But you must never become a god... I have to tell you now, before it's too late. I promise, there's no way you'll ever regret it...

Some time later, at the café next-door to the school...

Homura: You wanted to talk?

Madoka: Yes, about Sayaka. She might be a bit stubborn and hypersensitive, and like to argue a lot, but she really is a wonderful person! She's kind and brave, and she's always ready to help someone if they need it!

Homura: Those are fatal flaws for Magical Girls. A person becomes naïve if they're too kind, careless if they're too bold.

Lillyan: —!

(???: Every child is naïve... Why do they get to go on, and I have to be... this?!)

Lillyan: ...

Homura: And no matter how hard you try to protect others, there is no gratitude...

Lillyan: *turns around in booth to face Homura* That's because she doesn't know! If you'd just explain to Madoka what you're doing for her, maybe you wouldn't have to give her a heart attack whenever she sees you to get you what you want!

???: {I'd beg to differ, "sweetheart"...}

Lillyan: *grunt* {Who are you, where are you, and WHAT DO YOU WANT WITH ME?!}
