Carmen's POV (This will be the last time I put her POV cause it's kinda annoying and just assume it's hers unless said otherwise)
I got out of the Calum's car and followed him into the massive building. Glass covered almost all the walls, and the ones not glass were a light cool toned grey. Plants and waiting chairs were around the place. It seemed very professional for a building not everyone fits into. Shit, I don't even fit in.
Calum just continued walking past the front desk and I followed him like a lost puppy. Though this was my dream job, I didn't expect the studio to look like this.
We got to the elevator and Calum let me go first.
"So what do you think?" He asked me once the elevator doors shut and pressed the fourth floor button.
"It's really nice in here, but I wasn't expecting it to be this big. It'll take some getting used to for sure." I said while even looking at the nicely decorated elevator.
"Yeah that's how I was the first time I walked into a studio, but you fit in just fine." He said with a smile while looking at me.
The elevator opened and we turned right and went to the door at the end of the hall.
"Okay is the boys might be mad at me for being late so I need you to walk in first so they know I went to pick you up, okay?" He said more as a question but I went with it and walked in.
"CA-oh hey Carmen." Luke said obviously about to yell at me thinking I was Calum.
"Hey guys," Calum said from behind me.
"Hello," They all said in unison.
I sat down and said, "Uhhh so there was something I forgot to tell you guys when we met up."
I was nervous because idk exactly what they're going to say since my plan is already scheduled for next week.
"What's up?" Michael asked and all except Calum we're sitting in front of me. Calum was sitting next me obviously sensing my nervousness and placed a hand on my thigh. Though that made butterflies appear I tried my best to ignore them.
"So I know we haven't scheduled many dates for me to be and the studio and such, but remember how I told you I haven't exactly graduated yet?" I said and looked around and Calum nodded towards me telling me to go on. "Well I have a flight back to New York next Friday to finish up school and to graduate. I'll be back roughly mid December most likely. I won't be attending my official graduation since I didn't want it to be a big deal, I'll just be getting me degree and be heading back."
I looked at them and they all seemed to be processing what I said. Calum's hand left my thigh around the time I brought up my flight so nothing is really helping distract me from the awkwardness.
Ashton was the first to speak up saying, "On behalf of all he boys, we understand that you still need to finish school...but is there anyways we could possibly work with you while you're in New York? Skype? FaceTime? Anything really. We can't exactly write the violin parts since we know nothing about it and we know you do. So maybe even just us sending audio examples and you creating the parts and recording when you get back maybe?"
"Yes yes. I was going to say I can still work while in New York. I'm only going back to get finals over with then coming back." I said.
"Well then I see no problem." Michael said with the rest of the boys nodding.
"I just wanted to let you guys know." I said.
"We understand, but enough of this we need to give you a quick rundown of how things work." Luke said and the boys all started telling me how I do this and that. Where I'll be recording my tracks. When Ill meet the other members playing background orchestral with me. And other basic things that I needed to learn.
