Clementine was currently asleep, next to Violet, her girlfriend was hugging her tightly.
That was before Clementine started to toss and turn, her breathing heavy.
This caused Violet to jolt awake, now sitting up looking down at Clementine, "Fuck... Clem." Violet said shaking her girlfriend, trying to wake her up.
Clementine woke up, in cold sweat looking around the room before her eyes met Violet, Clementine wrapped her arms around Violet, beginning to sob.
"Ssshhh... it's okay, i'm here.. don't worry." Violet said in a soft calming voice, rubbing Clementine's back.
"I.. i had that nightmare again.." Clementine mumbled, Violet nodded "That's what i assumed, but it's okay Clem.. i'm here, nothing is gonna happen to me.." Violet said letting go of Clementine.
"It's just.. i don't want anything to happen to you.." Clementine said, wiping the tears from her eyes.
"Hey.. do you wanna go for a ride? it's like.. what? two in the morning?" Violet questioned, grabbing her phone checking the time, it was currently 2:47am.
Clementine though about it for a second, "Can we good food?" She asked, Violet laughed "Yeah, we can go to Mcdonald's, they're open 24/7" Violet said getting off the bed.
"I'll get the truck started, you get ready... we can leave in five minutes if you're fast enough." Violet said stretching, Clementine got off the bed as well, nodding.
Violet began to walk towards the door, that was until Clementine grabbed her hand, turning her around to make Violet face her.
Clementine leaned in, kissing Violet softly, "Thanks.." Is all Clementine said, Violet gave her a small smile, nodding.
~10 minutes later~
Violet was driving the truck, she secretly brought some stuff that were currently in the back of the truck.
"After we get the food.. i know somewhere we can go, that is if you wanna go, we can go straight back home, it's up too you." Violet said, not taking her eyes off the road.
Clementine looked at Violet, smiling "Yeah, we can go where you wanna go after, i don't feel like going home anytime soon.." Clementine said, looking out the window once again.
Violet peered over at Clementine for a second, letting one hand off the steering wheel, extending it out towards Clementine.
"Clem.." Violet mumbled, Clementine looked at Violet, her eyes making their way down to her hand, she smiled before grabbing Violet's hand, holding it tightly.
Violet giggled, not saying anything else after.
They drove for about two minutes before Violet pulled into the drive through of Mcdonald's.
Violet ordered whatever they wanted, probably just chicken nuggets.
Once they got their food, Violet began to drive to the secret spot she wanted to take Clementine.
"Do you wanna eat now? or once we get to that spot you wanna take me." Clementine asked, looking at Violet.
"If you want, I'd like to wait though.." Violet replied, not taking her eyes off the road, she pulled into a back road path.
Clementine raised her eyebrow confused about where they were going.
"Uhm. Vi, where exactly are we going?" Clementine asked Violet, the blond smirked, "You'll see once we get there..." Violet mumbled.
Clementine sighed, getting quite anxious about the whole thing.
It wasn't long before Violet stopped the truck, shutting it off.
Violet looked at Clementine, giving her a small smile, "We're here." Violet said before opening the door, hopping out of the truck.
Clementine did the same, grabbing the food in the process.
Violet opened the back of the truck, climbing up, she had blankets and pillows in the back... perfectly planned.
Clementine giggled at the sight, "You didn't have to do this.." Clementine said as she watched Violet organize the blankets and pillows.
Violet shrugged, "It's a nice night, perfect temperature. I thought it'd be fun... plus the stars are out.." Violet said, walking over to where Clementine was, extending her arm out.
Clementine didn't say anything else, she just grabbed Violet's hand, accepting the help that her girlfriend provided.
Once the two were both in the back of the truck, they sat down, beginning to eat the chicken nuggets.
"You're not wrong, it is a nice night out... plus the stars are beautiful tonight.." Clementine said, not taking her eyes off of the starts.
Violet smirked, looking at Clementine, "The stars are almost as beautiful as you..." Violet said quietly.
Clementine let out a little laugh, shaking her head slightly, Clem looked at Violet not saying anything else.
Violet looked away, grabbing another chicken nugget, eating it.
After the food was gone, they laid down, getting a better view of the stars.
Clementine was snuggled up to Violet, Violet had her eyes closed... enjoying the peace and quiet they had.
"Hey, Vi?" Clementine questioned, Violet, hummed in response not opening her eyes.
"I love you.." Clementine said seriously.
Violet smiled, "I love you too, Clem.."
