🐯Levi's P.O.V🐯

I was walking to Petals house as I do almost everyday to see her and take her out for some ice cream, along with Lucky of course. I walked up to the porch and knocked on the door Petal of course answered "Hey Pet, I was wondering if you and Lucky wanted to go to the ice cream truck today." I proposed "S-Sure..." Petals voice seemed to be more shakey than normal she had hair over her left eye and her right eye seemed to be red as if she were crying.

"Lucky!" She turned around quickly and called her younger brothers name "Give me a second sis!" He called back "Can you two shut up and stop yelling before I make you!?" They're dad yelled. Lucky came walking down the stairs and walked beside Petal. He wasn't as happy as he normally was. Normally his tail'd be waggin and ears perked when he heard a knock on the door or even the doorbell ringing but I don't ring the doorbell since they're dad hates me, and is the one to answer when the doorbell is rung.

Lucky had a cut along with a bruise on his cheek and he was limping his ears were down and tail almost tucked between his legs "Are you guys-" Petal cut me off "L-let's just go... B-before my dad comes down" her dad didn't care if they went out as long as they came back at 12. Petal was so use to this rule that she was scared to even go to sleepovers which her dad wouldn't normally let her go to even after Blues sleepover in sophomore year she wasn't able to go out for three days after that.

"Ok.....?" I nodded as Petal dragged me away from her house Lucky dragging his feet behind us. We got to the ice cream truck and we got our ice cream. Lucky ordered a mint ice cream cone they had made speacialy for him Petal got her favorite a cherry ice cream cone and me? Well I got a banana ice cream cone it wasn't my favorite but I didn't like to chose the same type of ice cream every time unlike Lucky who always got his mint ice cream or Malachite who always got his half strawberry and half vanilla ice cream in a cup.

The three of us decided to star gaze since I had invited them out so late after awhile of laying in the grass Petal and I sat against a tree as Lucky continued to watch the stars. "What's up with this piece of hair?" I teased Petal as I tried to move it away from her face but she reacted quickly pushing my hand away "N-Nothing!" "Don't be like that Pet. I want to see your beautiful eyes" "You can see one... isn't that enough?" I shook my head "No. I don't want to be like DJ. Being limited to seeing one eye" I joked "But-" I cut Petal off and moved her hair from covering her eye "See that wasn't so b- what happened?!" I growled. Petal had a big dark bruise covering her eye, her cheek was puffy and red from blood of a scratch "I got jumped while walking home yesterday from piano lessons" I could instantly tell she was lying.

"Petal. I know your to scared to walk home alone after dark. You would've texted me to come pick you up, or you would've made Lucky bring you and wait there until it was over and if Lucky did go with you he'd be more beaten up because he'd be the one fighting not you. Tell. Me. The. Truth." I said slowly "My.." Petal hesitated she turned away a tear dripping down her cheek "Its ok Pet. I can't help unless you tell me" I lightly pulled the werewolf into an embrace "My... My dad did it..." she finally spit it out. I completely freaked.

"What do you mean your dad did it?!" "Ahh! L-Levi!" She whined covering my face with her hands "It was my fault I was the one who messed up" "What could you do to mess up? Your too perfect" she blushed "I.. I broke a vas and he slapped me I'm fine." "Tell me the truth Petal. I will only help you I promise." She looked down and started to cry "Its ok Petal" I sat her in my lap and hugged her "Take deep breaths Pet" "H-He... was drunk again" "Again?" "He does almost every night. He's... scary... he beats me... and when ever Lucky tries to help he gets hurt worse.... the reason Lucky and I don't have the same last name is because we have different dads." "Different dads..?" "Our mom cheated on my dad... and... he killed her" Petal let out a light squeak. She faced me and hid her face in my chest she was softly sobbing.
