Galinda's POV
I FELT LIKE A QUEEN AS I WAS
pushed a room full of Shiz students, Shiz students just like me, and Madame Morrible. I opened my eyes and got out of my pose, slowly climbing off of my piles of luggage as the luggage carrier was put to a stop by two handsome munchkin boys.I thanked the munchkin boys and winked at them, smirking subtly. They smiled back and walked into the crowd of students, while I stood in the middle.
" Dear students, welcome to Shiz University." Madame Morrible said, as her hands gestured a welcome. She turned over to a girl with long, straight brown hair who was sitting in a wheelchair. " And you must be the governor's daughter, the tragically beautiful one."
The girl proudly nodded.
" And I am just the simply beautiful one." I interrupted, earning dramatic gasps and giggles from what I loved to call my loyal fans.
I sweared I saw Madame Morrible glare at me, but I ignored it, because why would she have done that? No one has ever done that to me in my life; everyone loves me.
" Yes, and I am the beautifully tragic one." someone said, and a girl with emerald green skin steps up. She had a navy blue blazer and a navy blue skirt on, with a little navy blue hat on top of her pitch black hair that was put into a braid, and god, she was beautiful.
Madame Morrible screamed an ear-crushing wail and everyone else but me and the girl in the wheelchair gasped. Dramatic gasps. And not the good ones that show you're really happy to see someone, not like the ones that escape everyone's mouths when they see me. No, bad gasps. Exactly how you would gasp if Satan was standing in front of you.
" What, did someone die?!" I yelled sarcastically.
" No, Galinda. Look at her! She's green! A witch!" Pfanee screamed, pulling me close to her, which I didn't really know why she did. Either she wanted to protect me from the green girl, which I really doubt, as she and ShenShen are the most self-absorbed people I know, or she was using me as human shield.
" I'm not a witch!" the green girl yelled back at Pfanee.
" Yeah, being green doesn't have to mean your a witch!" I defended her and watch her nearly gasp as I gently push Pfanee away, releasing myself from her grip that at one point, when she was digging her nails so deep into my skin, it hurt.
" Galinda, why are you siding with an artichoke?" Pfanee asked me, articulating her words as if I was a toddler.
" How in Shiz does this girl resemble an artichoke?! Look into the mirror and learn that you resemble a pig before you call her names!" I yelled, leaning into Pfanee's face in a intimidating way, but Madame Morrible pulled me back.
" That's enough. I will not tolerate wild behavior like the one you two are showing right now. So calm down. And Pfanee, please leave Elphaba alone, for I'm sure she is very bright." Madame Morrible finished, and finally let go of me as I glared at Pfanee and then turn to face the green girl who was in obvious shock.
" Bright?! She was the top in our school! She is the brightest." the girl in the wheelchair explained.
I held my gaze on the green girl and took out my hand for her to shake. " Hi, I'm Galinda Arduenna Upland of the Upper Upperlands, nice to meet you." I introduced myself with a radiant smile.
The green girl shook my hand, and I ignored the sparks and shivers that she sent down my spine. She returned the radiant smile, revealing her pearly white teeth. " Elphaba Thropp. Thank you for that, you didn't have to."
" I know what it's like to be made fun of, and I know it isn't the greatest feeling, so why would I stand by and watch as you felt it?" I explained to her why I defended her.
Her grin widened as she let go of my hand.
" Great, you two will get along beautifully, therefore you will be great roommates, as the governor never mentioned another daughter." Madame Morrible said.
" What?!" me and Elphaba yelled in unison, but I saw a bit of hurt in her eyes because of the fact that her father forgot to mention her.
" I have my own private suite that is called a private suite for a reason. And correct me if I'm wrong, well, don't correct me if I'm wrong, I hate when people do that because I'm always right, but private means me, myself, and I." I argued.
" And I have to be with my sister, I always am. I take care of her, that's how it's always been. You can't change that." Elphaba added.
" Actually, I can. And Ms. Galinda, I suggest you watch your tone for I can remove you from Shiz University as quickly as you came in on your luggage carrier that held an unreasonably large amount of luggage." Madame Morrible warned.
I grunted, and looked at Elphaba who was also angry, you could see it.
" Fine. If she's okay with it, then what can I do about someone invading me in my private suite that my parents bought so that I technically own because I'm the closest thing to them?" I asked sarcastically.
" I want to be with my sister." Elphaba muttered, and the girl in the wheelchair who I supposed was her sister began to rub circles on Elphaba's arms. I really hoped she is Elphaba's sister, because if she wasn't, that would've been weird.
" I'm sorry, Ms. Elphaba, but I honestly think that your sister will be in the best hands if she is with me." Madame Morrible apologized.
Elphaba didn't make eye contact but nodded, signaling her surrender.
" Now, all of you head up to your dorms. Classes start the day after tomorrow, which is when we give the tour of the school." Madame Morrible quickly added before dismissing everyone.
I decided to wait for Elphaba since we were going to the same room, and watched as Elphaba bended down and kissed her sister's forehead, gently holding the sides of her head. Elphaba stood back up straight, and glanced at me.
" Oh, Galinda, this is my sister, Nessarose." Elphaba said, signaling for me to come over.
I quickly ran over and shook Nessarose's hand. " Galinda. A pleasure to meet you."
" A pleasure to meet you, too." Nessarose replied with a smile.
" Ms. Galinda, are you coming?!" a munchkin boy yelled to me, and I turned to see him pushing my luggage carrier that was already halfway out of the room.
" Yes, but you may continue." I replied. I turned to Elphaba." Coming?"
Elphaba nodded, turning back to her sister and hugging her tightly." Love you, Nessa. Be careful."
Nessarose nodded, grabbing Elphaba's hand." I love you, too, Elphaba."
Nessarose rolled away and Elphaba watches longingly. I took hold of her smooth green hand, causing her to look at my hand and then at my face." She'll be okay."
Elphaba nodded once again, and I gently pulled her towards the door, smirking back at her before we caught up to the munchkin boys who were nearly at our room.
