Tyler's POV

Ethan pushed through the crowds of people, holding tightly to Tyler's hand so the boys didn't get separated. They were silent, both terrified. Every so often, Tyler would pull Ethan back and stop him and say "He's gonna be fine. We're gonna find him." Ethan would just smile and keep walking.

Tyler had an advantage over Ethan because Tyler was taller. He could see over the crowds, but Jack was short like Ethan. Every few minutes, one of the two would try to text or call Jack. They never got an answer, and after a while the calls went straight to voicemail. Ethan was really starting to panic. He turned back to Tyler. "We completely emptied his backpack right? Like we took everything sharp out??" He asked for the thousandth time. "Yes, Eth. I'm positive." Tyler replied. Ethan nodded and continued walking.

After what felt like hours of walking and searching, Ethan suddenly stopped dead in his tracks. "There!!" He shouted, pointing. Tyler immediately tried to follow Ethan's gesture, but saw nothing. "I don't see him!" He said. "He just went in that store!" Ethan said. "Go! Hurry! I'll follow you!" Tyler said, grabbing his phone. Ethan took off running. Tyler opened the group chat with Mark, Wade, and Bob. "We've got him. He went in Trevor's Supply Store! Hurry!" He typed furiously and hit Send. He took off after Ethan.

Ethan's POV

Ethan burst into the store. He caught a glimpse of Jack rushing towards the back of the store. Ethan ran, and knocked into someone. Ethan reeled back, apologized, and ran around the person. He rushed to the back, finding the bathroom door. Ethan took a deep breath and grabbed the handle.

It was locked.

"Fuck!" Ethan whirled around, looking for an employee. When he saw one, he bolted.

"Excuse me! Do you have a key to the bathroom? It's locked! I have to get in there, please! My friend is in there and he could be hurt!" Ethan blurted. The employee pulled out a ring of keys. He led Ethan back to the bathroom. As he waited, he heard Tyler's voice call his name from a random isle. "By the bathroom Ty!!" Ethan yelled absentmindedly. "Please hurry please!" Ethan told the employee. "Okay, sorry this lock is sticky...There!" The employee unlocked the door, and Ethan bolted in.
