Chapter 9: Rin's Visit

[Rin's POV during the previous chapter]

           

Finally I am here again, at her house.

 

It’s been ten years ago. The house still looked the same. Ah, that tree, she used to hide there when I visit her in the morning.

 

It brings back a lot of memories.

 

Lots of happy memories.

 

As I look at her every day at school, completely innocent and fragile. I smiled.

 

She hasn’t change.

She doesn’t remember my name.

Standing in front of this tree as Jun, Aya and Miki prepared the drinks and biscuits. How I wish i had not left here.

 

For ten years, Man, I’ve wasted a lot of time.

I felt someone licking my foot, it was Hachi. “Hey there,”I smiled and patted his head. He barked and licked my hand. “You’ve been a great help to her,”I told him and looked at his name tag.

The perfect solution for her not to forget your name, Hachi.

 

“Is it really you Rin?”I heard her Mama asked. I faced and smiled, “yeah, it has been ten years since,“

“My, you really have grown up to be  fine young man.. has... Miki?”

“Ah.. no, but please don’t tell her, it might really put her down, I don’t want that,” i smiled and looked at the three coming towards us.

“You really grew up to be a fine young man, I hope you visit us often,”

“I’ll take that as a daily invitation,”

She just smiled at me. She looked behind her and saw Miki.

Miki put the tray down, “Mama, I left some butter cookies for Papa and you,”. Her Mama smiled and looked at me. “I have to go now and buy something for dinner, enjoy the food,” she smiled and left.

I looked at Miki, she really hasn’t changed at all... I smiled.

Aya came jumping to Miki, “eh, I’m hungry now.. wow.. you baked this cookies??” Aya asked and munched on one already. “........yeah,”

I took one biscuit.

Even the biscuit has the same taste from before.
