I sat in my room playing with filters on my phone, hearing my door creep open I looked to see a tiny figure walking in.

"Oh pretty TeeTee summer" Naomi smiled with her bear in hand, and her small blanket she carried everywhere. "I take nap with you?" She asked while climbing into my bed.

I smiled at her. "As long as you promise to not pee on yourself" I walked to her and kissed her cheek.

"Promise" She sighed and was already falling to sleep. She did this for her nap time every day, come and fall asleep in my bed.

For the past two months I'd been so happy to have her in my life, as well as Dre. They brung me so much joy, it was crazy. Dre had been doing better with work and school now, he had his head on straight and he'd never worry about if his child was in good hands or not because she always was, no matter if she was with me or Winter.

Him and Myra had gotten together, and although he still had yet to meet her family she'd met all of us as his girlfriend, not my employee. I always knew she was a sweet girl, she'd liked Dre since I could remember, since he started working at the restaurant eight months ago she'd had this huge crush on him. I was happy they were done with the back and forth after those six months and finally got it together. She was good for him, with keeping him focused and motivated to always be a better person.

I was just keeping my mouth shut for now, because they'd been serious for months now even if they hadn't made it official before and she was a young woman now, her parents needed to know where she was coming and that she had a boyfriend. Sure it was fine at first for her to come over, but now I just feel like she's never going to come around to opening up to her parents. Dre was taking her so serious he'd even stopped flirting with me, I just didn't want to see him hurt because I could get a little crazy.

Looking at my phone I had three J-pays one from Preston, Jerome and Bricks.

From Preston Williams: How you doing? Bricks found a way to write me himself so no need to shoot us messages back and forth but... I heard some shit and it ain't sitting well with me at all. Imma call you tonight.

From Jerome Wilson: Wassup baby, my dad finally came by and I forgot to tell you. He said he gone jump back in the force and see what's really going on, he knew I was telling the truth so that felt good for me... my mom is still keeping my siblings from seeing me and my little seventeen year old sister has been acting out while I'm in here. Pops think she pregnant or some shit. I blame my momma because before she made them cut me off my sister and I was close couldn't tell us shit, she wasn't even thinking about sex or nothing because she had me to be there for her... you know how I said my momma isn't emotional attached to her kids? Yeah. I don't know if I should be mad at her about it, or try to be there for her? Shit. I don't know the shit hurt me because I ain't out and my momma spiteful for no reason. My dad said he gone bring her to see me soon, hopefully she open up to me since she won't to them.

Besides that, I'mma call you tonight. Have a good day, can't wait to hear all about it love.

From Peyton Williams: Sis... I may have or may not have brung up Jerome to Preston today.. On some dumb shit, and you know how he could get. I don't even know why but the nigga went crazy, I didn't even say shit out the way... he asked about you and your mental and I told him Jerome was keeping you sane... When he asked who he was I ignored him though lmfao my bad sis.

I walked into Winters room without knocking and she laid there naked with her baby bump sticking all out. "Awww" I cooed and kneeled in front of her rubbing her Belly.

"I knew you wouldn't give me play cause you's a dike" I heard Dre and looked at the position I was in and removed myself from in between her legs.

Winter laughed and covered herself up. "What do y'all want? I was trying to wait on my man to call me so I could play with-"

"Oh hell naw, winter you my sister and shit. I don't wanna hear that, I was just asking if Myra and her parents could come over for dinner." He rubbed his head. "I don't want to go over there and they get to chewing me out, y'all know I don't care about saying what I got to say but I really love her"

Me and winter looked at each other and then him. "You love her?" I asked holding my chest. "Are you sure?"

He smiled and shook his head. "I mean she told me but I didn't tell her right away, I'm scared you know?" He sighed.

"Tell her then, don't be afraid." Winter shrugged. "They could come here for dinner, but we all know they ain't finna bully you or speak down on you."

"I think I should just have dinner with them" I spoke up, knowing Winter was not gone try to be cordial if she heard any disrespect.

"I'm gone be good I promise, now can I get to my man?" Dre thanked us and then walked out.

"Speaking of him, why would he go and mention Jerome to Preston?" I pouted. "They're both calling me tonight and I don't know who to answer for, like do I want to be cursed out or what? I know I don't owe him no explanation but damn man Bricks talk too much."

She looked at me for a minute. "You can't possibly be thinking of what Preston thinks? Did he think of you when he cheated on you or hit you?" She shook her head. "I understand being there for him but he is not your man, and fuck what he has to say."

"Yea I know, thanks." I walked out hearing her phone ring.

4:00pm.

I walked around the mall with Sandra, who was actually a nice woman. After the lunch we had two months ago and her opening up to me I felt bad about how I treated her, when she was going through so much. We were closer now, and her son was even my godson, I was too excited all my money went to him and Autumn, winters daughter.

"So girl, how have you been?" She asked me. "You graduate next month, applying for any hospitals?" She held her stomach and bent over.

"Are you-" I cut myself off when liquid went down her leg. "Shit, come on." I noticed her water broke and helped her walk out of the mall to get her to the hospital. "I'm here love, come on lay in the backseat" I coached her to breathe.

10:00pm.

After hours of waiting she'd finally had him, and I was crying because I never seen a baby being born or had the honors of cutting anyone's umbilical cord, so that was a good experience for me.

"Here's your healthy baby boy" the nurse walked in and handed him over to Sandra. We both looked at him and then looked at each other.

"He's ..." She started.

"Black" I finished, completely shocked, she'd never mentioned the race of her child's father.
