"Hey, son. Wake up, "said Mrs Parker, knocking on her son's bedroom door. He was curled up in his cozy bed. It was a cold winter day and so he did not want to leave his bed. But there was another reason besides the cold. Today was supposed to be his first day at Tong High School. For some reason, he just didn't like the idea about going to school and that wasn't because he didn't like studying. He did like studying. A lot.
"Son? Are you up? " Mrs Parker asked, coming into her son's room. He was still lying on his bed under his warm blankets.
"Hey. You're going to a new school today. High school, actually. So, get up. Come on, " she said pulling at his blankets.
Her son reluctantly woke up, throwing the blankets off his feet. Seeing his not-so-excited look, Mrs Parker understood and said, "It's going to be alright. "
Her son knew she was trying so hard to make everything normal. So he faked a smile, even though he didn't feel any better.
"You wouldn't want to be late on the very first day of High School, would you? So get up. "
He got out of his bed, took a quick shower and stood in front of the closet. He did not want to look like an idiot on the very first day. He wanted to make a great first impression on everyone. So he chose a white T-shirt, red jacket and black sweatpants. He felt good. But there was a part of him that knew he will be laughed at, despite his attractive looks. Just then his mother called out, "Come on, son. Breakfast is ready. "
