As soon as the school was over Aurora rushed home. He knew well enough that if he stayed to walk with others, they would tease him again. He was literally running back home. When he reached home he was panting.
"Hey, boy, "Mrs Parker called out, "Back so early? And why are you breathing so hard? "
But Aurora just crossed the sitting room and dashed upstairs into his room
His mother had followed him upstairs. "What is it, honey? Is everything alright? "
Aurora was still breathing hard. He looked like he was about to cry. After taking a long breath, he replied, trying to swallow the lump in his throat, "Out of thousands of names, why only Aurora? I mean if I was a girl then the name would be great. No objection. But I'm a boy and boys got cool names like Jake, John, Oliver, Greg, Robert, Micheal and so on. Do you know my gender? I'm a boy, mom. A b-o-y. I get teased at school because of my name. People laugh at me. Girls who are usually attracted to me ignore me when they know my name. Why only Aurora, mom? Why! "
