'New Year, New Us'

chapter 4

You and Jacob walked to the cafeteria together to meetup with Shawn. You guys finally made it and you were overwhelmed.. There were huge tables filled with people, the noise in the cafeteria was extremely loud, you hated it. But luckily all the seats were filled, so you guys went to eat outside. You, Jacob, and Shawn all sat at a table discussing how your first two classes are. Jacob said he didn't like his first one. "Why?" I asked. He said, "I wish you were there!" Right then I knew what I thought was right. Jacob and me were getting serious this year. This was it. "Awh Jacob haha.." you said in an awkward way. Shawn just sat there eating his dinosaur shaped sandwich from his Star Wars lunchbox.

Lunch was only like 30 minutes, so it was over quick. But after lunch you only had 2 more classes. You threw your trash away and said goodbye to Shawn. You and Jacob have 4th period together so you guys walked together.

You arrived to your classroom late. Of course everyone starred, which was soo awkward. The teacher then sat us down and talked for a while. She gave us bookwork afterwards. A few minutes later she called you and Jacob out in the hallway. She started asking us questions that got very personal. I have a feeling she thought we were doing "dirty things" in the school bathrooms, and that's why we were late.. "I would never!" I said to her. Jacob looked at me confused, and said "Me either. This is just a new school and we got confused." She took our excuses. After that class me and Jacob giggled because she actually thought we'd do stuff like that with each other. We are obviously just really, really good friends... or maybe not? Who knows. Maybe Jacob will speak up about who he likes soon.
