I was jus standing on stage like a statue I was physically present but my mind was roaming somewhere else or to be more precisely it was thinking about my love! Yes you read it right she was standing there with her parents first of all I was shocked to see her that too in my house then I got know that her dad & my dad are business partners. But she was behaving so normally that nothing as happened between us & wen my dad introduced me to her she just smiled looking at me i was shocked to that gesture of her's.

But the matter I got to know was more shocking for me that she got engaged to someone else! How can she do that I mean I know she has feelings for me but she is trying to hide that but why? When I heard a voice calling me that is when I came out of my thoughts & turned towards to see the owner of that voice & it was my mom asking me to take the ring which she was holding & I took it while staring at her but she turned to other side.

I was holding the ring in my hand but my eyes were fixed on her I was closely observing her each & every move meanwhile my dad asked me to slid the ring & I turned towards Ritu ( with whom my engagement was fixed) she was smiling looking at me while forwarding her hand, my hands started shivering & my heart started racing wish I could just run off leaving all these.

One look at her & I saw her ruining towards the entrance & that's it ring fell from my hand & I couldn't stop myself from following her. I can feel it she was crying but why? is my question, I started calling her but she didn't turn, taking long strides I've reached her & got a grip on her wrist. I was holding her hand & moving towards a corner place so that I can talk to her without any disturbance & at last I found one place meanwhile she was freeing herself but my grip was stronger. Caging her between the wall & me I started...

Avni where were you going without attending my engagement.... I asked her while keeping my hands on her shoulder

Neil leave me please I've to go..... saying this she was trying get out of my grip but no use

I think this is not the answer for my question... I asked her

I just came out for fresh air.... while looking down she said this but I know this is not true

Oh fresh air, fine I believe you then answer this question... why are you crying....saying this I was trying to look into her eyes but still her head was facing the ground

I..I am not crying I....she was unable to talk further

Is it? Then what is this.... while wiping her tears with my thumb

Neil please leave me! See everyone must be waiting for you today is your engagement so please go inside.... she was trying to push me but I tightened my grip on her shoulder without hurting her

No Avni I will not go & now you tell me don't you love me?.... I asked her

No I don't & if you forgot then let me remind you that I'm engaged... while she was saying this her eyes were not looking at me

So if am getting engaged to someone else you won't feel anything right... saying this I've lifted her chin up to meet my eyes

No I don't feel anything.... I could hear those words but her eyes it was confessing something else

There is a saying right....

EYES SPEAK MORE THAN WORDS !!

Well in this case it is true....

Okay! So you don't have any problem that someone else will be addressed as Mrs. Neil Khanna.... I asked her

No I don't have any problem... I heard her saying

So you are okay to see me with other girl... I asked her clearly

Yes am okay... I heard her saying

Okay! But I cannot let that happen I cannot imagine myself with some other girl & I cannot love someone when I still love you. Wish I could've died that day... I said it in a go not realising that she doesn't know the truth

What do you mean you could've died.... I heard her saying to which I didn't replied

Neil am talking to you what does that mean... answer me! I heard asking

Why do you care.... I said it in a bit loud voice

I do care & now tell me.... saying this she was holding my collar while tears were falling down her cheek

Now I couldn't hold back the truth & I decided to spill it out, Avni on that day....

Flashback

5 years ago

When you left saying you don't love me I was shattered I was not in my senses but somehow I managed to drive my car. I could see the flashes of our conversation I was so drowned in those I couldn't realise the truck coming infront of my car but when I saw I lost my balance & I ended up hitting the tree. By god's grace it wasn't that serious but there were wounds on my head, my hand & I fractured my left leg as it was stuck in between the car's seat & the car's door. Luckily there were people & they took me to hospital & I've been treated well. Almost it took 8 months for me to walk on my own...

End of flashback

All this while Avni was looking at me with her teary eyes I could see love towards to me in those doe shaped eyes... She was trying to speak but I didn't let her do so

Wish I could've not survived in that acci.... I couldn't speak further as her hand was on my cheek with thud sound.....yes it was a slap

Don't you dare to speak such words again... I heard her yelling while holding my collar. I was shocked to see this side of hers but it's okay she has every right on me

Why shouldn't I speak... why do you care if I'm alive or dea.... I couldn't complete the sentence as I felt a pair of lips on mine then I realised that she was kissing me.. gosh!! I was about to respond but she pulled away while looking into my eyes....

I love you Neil I love you so much....saying this she hugged me really tight while I reciprocated with the same intensity....
