Chaeyoung's POV:
It has been 2 days since our unnies found out I'm gay and it's just so nice to feel accepted especially here in Korea since it's a big No in our culture. Though Jihyo unnie said that some of our other unnies are a bit gay, I can't help but wonder who among them are gay which made the center of the discussion between me, Dahyun in Tzuyu once we got inside our room
"So who do you think are the gay unnies?" Dahyun ask
"Definitely Sana unnie" Tzuyu says "You can't deny that Dahyun...she actually do a lot of skinships with you" Tzuyu smiles
"amnida...i Kind of noticed it too" dahyun shows a bit of blush on her cheeks
"maybe she likes you" I add
"Aigooo that's impossible, I think she's straight" Dahyun says trying to deny the obvious
"nah...I think she's an Spaghetti girl" Tzuyu says which made me and Dahyun confused
"why?" I ask
"well Spaghetti is straight...until it gets hot and wet" Tzuyu adds which made both me and Dahyun crack up. I swear you think Tzuyu is the innocent one but she's not; don't let her appearance fool you.
"Whattt?? I'm right though" SHe smiles at us
"kidding aside, who else do you think is a bit gay?" Tzuyu asks
"I think Jeongyeon and Nayeon unnie likes each other but they still waiting for the right moment to make things official" I say. It's true though...They always spend time together and if not, they would be texting one another; it's cute though
"I knowww right??" Dahyun asks "One time, I saw Jeongyeon unnie kissed Nayeon unnie on the cheek...I swear it's the cutest thing ever" Dahyun adds
"How about Mina unnie? Momo unnie?" Tzuyu asks
"Mina unnie....I don't really know...she's like a mystery to me" I say
I really haven't had the time to spend time with Mina unnie, she's always studying but when she study, she don't usually talk and when she takes break, it would be either stretching or making coffee...
"Maybe she's like a confused bi?" Tzuyu suggested. Maybe? Maybe not? Maybe she's straight?
"Straight" Dahyun says,,,, "I think she's straight and she's not that kind of Spaghetti...she's more of a wood straight...like nothing could bend it..." She add up
"But bamboo is a wood that bends Dahyun" I say
"Yep there's always a possibility that she could be gay...we couldn't really tell" Tzuyu says
"Yeah, I guess you guys are right, but I also agree...she's really kind but she's not really an open book, like you really need to be patient when getting to know her" Dahyun says
"Like a book that holds important information, every detail must be read and must be understand to get the whole picture....I guess she's like that" I say
" I agree" Tzuyu adds.
Mina unnie...you're a mystery to me
Nayeon's POV:
ECG, X-ray...what else do I need to chart before I end this day?? UGhnnn so exhausting....
phone rings*
Jagi is calling
Omo Jeongyeon is calling, she's probably outside by now. I pick up the phone and accepted the call
Nayeon: Ye? Are you outside already?
Jeongyeon: Ye...I'll just wait for you here at the bench outside the entrance
Nayeon: Arrasso...I'll pack my things now, please wait for me
Jeongyeon: You know I always do....unnie
Nayeon: Aish quit doing that it's making me cringe
Jeongyeon: *laughs*...arasso...bali bali it's cold here
Nayeon: ye
*convo ends*
Irene unnie ask "was that Jeongyeon?"
I nod. "I'll be heading out first unnie, I think I charted all the patients now"
"She's really consistent hmm? That is nice, I hope everything goes well with you too" She says.
I smiled at her. I hope so too.
The thing about Jeongyeon is that when I try to open up to her our current status, she would deflect or deviate into a different conversation. It's actually annoying me now. Everytime I talk to her about it, she would ask suddenly if I already ate or if I am tired or something and I guess I won't let her do that anymore. I am gonna have to talk to her tonight.
As I grab my things, I wave goodbye to our seniors. I walk through the halls of the hospital till I reach the entrance and I see Jeongyeon holding a rose in her hand....I swear this girl is just romantic...I also see that she's tugging in her jacket, it's snowing outside. I quickly ran to her
"Jigayaaaaaa" i wave at her
"Yeeeeee" she smiles "I have something for youuu" she then shows me the rose
"Where did you pick this??? Poor plant" She slapped my arm a bit
"Yaaah! I didn't pick that! I bought that from the flower shop before I got here" She pouts. Uwu so cuteeee
"I'm kidding...thank youu so much" I cling to her arm and I did the most daring thing I kissed her cheek. She looked at me surprised but I just smiled. I can't show her that I am also having a inside gay panic.
I cling to her arm as we get inside her car. I had an idea...now or never right?
Before she starts the engine, she noticed that I am staring at her smiling a bit
"Wei?" She wait for me before I talk
then I take a deep breath and
"what are we?" I ask her as I look into her eyes. She looked so shock as if I am asking about an unfamiliar topic
She just laughs "why are you asking me suddenly that?" I just glare at her...she's trying to deflect the topic again...not today Jeongyeon
"Well you've been pretty much consistent with me; you flirt with me a lot; you even wait for me everytime I'm on duty and last but not the least...you're always giving me gifts like today, you gave me a rose and I just can't help but assume Jeongyeon" I slumped back
"It's all right...you don't have to answer, just...let's go home" I said as I stare outside
There was a bit of silence before she finally speak
"I like you"
I still didn't look at her...waiting for her to talk
"I know I am sending mixed signals and I know you don't deserve that. But I am here now...I like you more than a friend Nayeon and I'm sorry if I'm always deflecting...it's just that this is all new to me...the feelings, they are overwhelming"
that's when I look at her
"You don't have to be sorry, the signals were received clearly" I smiled
"I like you too, by the way...if you still haven't realized"
I lean in closely to her, can't help but smell her vanilla perfume she always wear when we're together...our nose almost touching
"Can I kiss you?" she ask me but I couldn't help anymore...I kissed her with all my might. I can't help but pour into the kiss all the tension that's been building up for weeks now. I have always imagined how my kiss with Jeongyeon would be like, nothing could really amount to the way I am feeling right now. Our tongue dances together and I know things are getting hot in here that I have to pull back to get some air
"that was" She whispers
"perfect" I say back
