The next morning I woke up with last night on my mind. Glancing over to my right, I spotted Chad still asleep. I gently stroked the side of his face until he woke up.

"Good morning" he stretched, opening his eyes

"Hey, good morning" I replied, sitting up

He sat up also and pulled me on top of his lap.

"You good?" He questioned looking in my eyes

I nodded my head in response and smiled at him. I'm not sure what it was about this guy but I was just so attracted to him.

"I need to go to the store" I said, jumping off him

"You tryna kick me out already? Damn!" He chuckled

"I'm not tryna kick you out" I replied as I slipped on some black tights and my puma slides.

"I need to go to the pharmacy" I added looking over at him.

He stood and pulled his shirt over his head then pulled me close to him.

"Gon and get a plan b pill. I know you ain't tryna have my kid right now" he dug into his pockets pulling a fifty dollar bill out and handing it to me.

I slowly took the money from him and said a quiet thank you in which he responded with a kiss on the cheek.

"I'm bout to head home" he said, looking down at me.

I went in the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face as he let himself out. When I walked to the living room Lay was sitting on the couch eating a bowl of cereal.

"Who was that lil white boy?" She asked pointing at me.

I laughed loudly, "he is not white. That's my friend. His name's Chad"

"Mhmm, spill the tea hoe" she laughed.

I shook my head at her and rushed out the door before she could ask anything else. I got in my car pulling up the nearest Walgreen's on my GPS and heading there.

Once I got to the store I went straight back to the pharmacy to wait in line.

"Marlei?" I heard my name being called after about five minutes.

I looked behind and there stood Will. I smiled a little and turned back around, not really knowing what to say to him.

"So, why not tell me you had a man before you agreed on that date?" He whispered in my ear.

His breath was cool, making me shiver a little.

"I don't have a man" I looked back at him.

He raised an eyebrow but stayed quiet. The lady called next in line as Will walked away.

"Hi, I need a plan b" I told her while pulling out the money Chad had given me along with a five dollar bill.

I paid for everything and headed out to my car. I rolled my eyes a little as I spotted Will standing next to it.

"You need something" I asked with a slight attitude.

He smiled brightly at me and licked his lips before grabbing onto my arm. I looked at him like he had lost his damn mind and he pulled me closer to him.

"Tell yo nigga to respect my mind" he said in a humorous tone, looking down at me.

"What" I asked, snatching out of his grip.

"You heard what I said"

"And you heard what I said when I told you I ain't have a man" I responded, pointing my finger in his face.
