I woke up the next morning feeling like a piece of shit. Someone was doing the dishes, probably mom. I didn't even eat throughout yesterday, that is probably the reason why I feel like this. I got off my bed and went straight to the bathroom sink. After brushing my teeth, I took a 2 minutes shower and made my way downstairs to the kitchen. The cold is all gone, guess it was temporary. I got to the kitchen and found a totally new and strange person
"Where is mom" I asked holding my breath, scared of what I'll hear
"Oh, you're awake. Your mom travelled yesterday, she knocked on your door to ask if you would love to go with her but you didn't answer so she thought you were still angry so she left"
Just in time ,my phone rang and it was Keva's call but I wasn't ready for her so I ignored the call. I checked my messages and sure mom's was there
"Baby, I had to leave quickly cos it was an emergency. Trust me, it was unplanned. Your grandmother is sick and of course I can't let her be alone. I'll be back in 2 weeks. Medina will take care of you while I'm gone. I opened an account for you when you were 15 but couldn't collect the card so after your 16th birthday, I was told I could come and get it. You can take keva along with you to get the card. I creditd the account already so that it will be easy to take the card and you can try withdrawing too, I love you my dear Aimee"
I quickly typed back with joy and my mind screaming FREEDOM FREEDOM
"Mom, I just got your message. Do you have a sad flight, how is Grandma, how are you? I'll be a good child , I promise and will try my best to make Medina's job easier, I love you too mom" after that , I took a deep breath and smiled then walked back to the kitchen
"I guess you know my name now" medina asked
"Yes, Medina"
"Good. I made breakfast"
