Path of Hate - Chapter Sixteen - Depression numero deux

(Y/n)'s POV

"Uh...what do I say?!" I heard Kid 'whisper' to Anna.

"Just comfort her!" Anna shouted, not bothering to lower her voice even a bit.

"You guys suck at this" I sighed, getting off my bed and walking past kid and my meister.

"Look what you did!" I heard her smack Kid , hard may I add.

"YOU'RE THE ONE THAT DRAGGED ME HERE" He yelled back, starting an argument between them.

I rolled my eyes at the sound of yelling and Kid's complaints about my room being too 'Asymmetrical'.

I decided to leave the apartment and look for Soul. I realized I was being such a jerk earlier and decided to look for him.

The first destination that came into mind was Blackstar's and Tsubaki's place, so that's where I was headed.

After taking a deep breathe, I knocked lightly on the door and was greeted by Blackstar, but no Soul.

"Hah! Looks like you've finally come to your senses" Blackstar said , crossing his arms and shutting his eyes in an egotistic manner.

"No you smurf, I'm here for Soul" I spat, not wanting to deal with the idiot.

"Soul? He's not here" He answered back, his expression all the same.

"What?!" I shouted , eyes wide in shock.

Blackstar didn't seem to notice the state I was in and how badly I wanted to see Soul, as he told me Soul ditched me for some other girl.

Normally, I would've punched him in the face but after what Tsubaki had told me, I started to doubt it.

*Flashback*

"Hey (y/n)? be careful with Soul okay?, I think Blackstar gave him a crazy idea, they seem to be secretive when they're around you" Tsubaki said, gently placing a hand on my shoulder to assure me she meant no harm.

"W-what made you think it was me?" I stuttered, the thought of my relationship with Soul, being a lie made me want to kill myself or in my case get teared apart by a kishin.

"Blackstar convinced Soul to go out with this girl before, and after a year, he dumped her with no explanation" She explained," Please be careful and know that if you ever get suspicious just come to me alright?" She finished with a smile and I couldn't help but smile back.

I had no idea Tsubaki could be so concerned about especially after the many fights I've had with her Meister.

"Sure, thanks for the heads up"

Even though I appreciated her concern, I knew there was no way Soul could do that.

I started to feel possessive and didn't want to let Soul out of my sight. I wanted to tear out every girl from this huge picture called earth and scrap them off.

My hands clenched into fists,and then I realized what had just happened.It was something I've never felt before, something so new like walking or talking for the first time.

Could it be Lust?

*flashback over*

Before I could think, tears welled up in my eyes and I clenched my hands into fists and raised one arm, ready to punch Blackstar in the face.

But as more tears escaped my eyes, my vision got even blurry. It would be useless to blame Blackstar, he's an idiot that can't even handle his weapon's feelings.

I didn't want to show any signs of weakness, but I knew there was no turning back as I slid onto the floor and looked at the ground with tears falling like an endless waterfall.

I could hear Blackstar mumble incoherent words as he kneeled down towards me.

"Oi, are you just going to let what I say get to you? Especially since you call me a idiot all the time?" He asked, softer than usual, but he still loud enough for another person to hear.

I didn't answer him, all I could do was look down and the thoughts of cutting up people came back. I whimpered at the thought of doing such cruel things.

I knew I wouldn't only hurt myself, I'd hurt Soul , Kid , Anna , Crona an everyone else that was important to me.

"(Y/n)?! Blackstar what the hell happened?!"

I knew that voice. That voice I would kill for.

"Hey what's wrong, calm down" Soul, wrapped his arms around me and rubbed my back in a soothing matter as he waited for me to calm down instead of asking further questions.

"I-I thought y-you left me" I managed to mumble, before leaping into his arms and hugging him tight, as I I was grasping my life line.

He continued to rub circles around my back and I saw him kick Blackstar in the shin.

"Ow! how dare you kick the almighty god!" Blackstar screamed, grabbing his shin and hopping on one leg.

A smile formed on my face and I let go of Soul and hugged the blue haired monkey.

"Ah what the hell are you doing get off me! No one's allowed to lay a finger on me without my permission let go of me peasent" He started to rant and before pulling away I kicked his other shin as well.

Soul and I laughed as he fell to the ground screaming.

I could tell Soul really wanted to know what was wrong and so we said our goodbyes and headed home.

Oh yeah! 1) READER IS NOT A DAMSEL IN DISTRESS nor will she be one. I think it's more interesting if she's more fierce, but of course I will add damsel in distress parts here and there such as this chapter just to make it interesting.
