Chapter 5

/ Aaron's Pov \

Me and Aphmau were talking for a little before her face went pale all of a sudden. I looked into her eyes and looked to where she was looking at. At the door the wolves that were at the house when the accident happened came in. 

I looked to Aph again and smiled apologetically. "It's ok Aphmau... These are the wolves that were at the house when you... you know..." 

Aphmau shook her head and quickly looked into my eyes for a second. Great... I can't bare to see her like this.

(So she was looking into his eyes to see if there was any hostility in them. She can tell if a person is gonna attack her by looking into their eyes.)

After a second she looked back down and crouched down even lower. How does she do that?! Even I can't go down that low!

I look to the other and motion them forward with my head. Garroth came first and sat in a chair by the bed. The others slowly made their way over and sat down either on the bed or the floor. 

Aphmau looked up for a second and quickly scanned everyone before putting her head down. But after a second I could see her eyes still looking over everyone.

(you know when you have your knees up to you head and you put your head down but you can still see everything? Sorry, sorry, back to the story!)

I smiled and then looked to Garroth. He looked down at her and sighed. Im the only person who knows what happened to him and his... I shouldn't say it, but ever since he saw Aphmau, he has been really worried about her. 

I look to Aph and see her eyes are glued to Garroth's. She looks sad and her ears go flat on her head again. 

Garroth slowly gets up from the chair and slowly walks over to Aph. I get up and get in a battle pose ready for anything that can happen. 

Aphmau keeps looking into his eyes the whole time and doesn't move from her position on the floor. 

Garroth makes his way over to her and slides down next to her, so he is now sitting down with her. Aph slowly loosens up and even relaxes into the wall more. 

I sit back down and everyone else just stares at them. I hear Garroth talking to Aphmau and trying to get her to talk but she really isn't doing much.

After a few minutes one of my wolves, Sara, starts asking if Aph has any family. (not to Aaron but to who she was already talking to)

Aphmau, now sitting with her legs crossed, looks up to Sara and plainly said. "No."

Everyone, startled, looked over to Aph. Garroth looked happy that she finally spoke but... she started to tear up. 

She sighed and looked down. "My parents were both killed in a fire that... I "supposedly" started..."

What? "I'm sorry but what do you mean ' "supposedly" started '?" I asked now curious myself.

Aphmau looked up to me with tears rolling down her cheeks. "I was only 3 at the time but a group of assassins came to my house and started the fire. The fire burned over 45 acres of land before they finally put it out. Now, Jackson... the one who abused me-"

She was interrupted by a lot of gasps coming from the girls.

Aphmau shook her head and continued. "Jackson, Alpha of the O'Khasis pack, told me that I started the fire because of my recklessness. I never believed him but soon it was starting to get to me. I started having these "voices" in my head saying I was the reason they died and that I should be dead instead of them... I was 5 when this started and when I turned 6... I actually started to believe the voices..."

She looked down and wiped away her tears. I stood up and walked over to her. I extended my arm out to her and she grabbed my hand. I pulled her up carefully and hugged her. It was kind of hard because of how small she was but I made it work. 

I pulled away after a few seconds and cupped her cheeks. (minds out of the gutter people) I stared into her eyes and wiped a few of her tears away. We stared into each others eyes for a second before Anna came in. 

Anna cleared her throat and sighed. "Aphmau, you can go home today but Aaron?"

I turned around to face Anna. "Yes?" I asked.

Anna sighed. "Make sure she eats something... Her stats are very low and she looks like she hasn't eaten in years... she barely fits into that sweater and by the looks of it, thats the smallest size..."

I turned around to actually look at Aphmau. I looked her up and down and was shocked. Her stomach wasn't even noticeable with the shirt, her pants her held together by a tight belt, and her shirt was barely hanging onto her shoulders. 

I could tell everyone else looked too because I heard a few gasps escape peoples mouth's. I looked into Aph's eyes again and she sighed. 

"I wasn't aloud to eat for at least 14 years... It was against the rules for the 
Omega to eat. I remember I ate ONCE, and I had scars that never left after that..." Aphmau looked into my eyes and started tearing up. 

I hugged her close to my chest and twirled her hair for a second. Aph hugged me back and she full on burst into tears. After a second I picked her up and walked to the door. "I'm bringing her to the house and giving her some food. We'll come back later for a checkup." And with that I closed the door and walked to the house.

I WOULD STOP HERE BUT IMMA BE NICE FOR TODAY!

After about 10 minutes we finally made it to the house and a guard opened the door for me. I walked in and headed straight to the kitchen. On my way I set Aph on the kitchen table and she sat there crying a little still. I looked to her and felt awful! How could Jackson do this to her?

I rang a bell and the main chef came out of his room. "Oh! What can I do for you Alpha?"

I looked to Aph and he followed my gaze. "Oh! Oh god..." He said surprised.

I looked at him and sighed. "I need you to make some food, no chocolate, but please make it quick... Jackson did this to her..." 

The chef (Imma call him Ace) looked into my eyes and became horrified. "He is still hurting people? After all these years!?"

I sighed deeply and shook my head. "I know Ace... I can't believe it either... It's just... she was starved but she was also abused too..."

Ace took a deep breath and shook his head. "I will make something big but quickly. It should be done in about 5 to 15 minutes."

I looked at Aph and sighed. "Alright, and thanks Ace."

Ace shook his head. "Anything for my Alpha!"
