Life of a Nigerian Teenage boy

Blacklist

Monday finally arrives from what had looked like a thousand years waiting, normal routine was followed woke up, took my bath, did the morning devotion, dressed up and afterwards headed to school for the assembly. During assembly things went normally until it was time for my exhibition ( you know what I mean) then the principal steps up with the 2 vice principal (admin and academic, Mr Akinola and Mr Williams respectively), then the principal speaks

"We are here because an act of immorality and utmost disgust was conducted by a student and we are here to deliver his punishment and to announce and show that such act will not be condoned in this school and any of such that happens again will result into expulsion
Ehmmm Adura Adekoya please step forward"

As my name was called the school was shocked and some thrown into confusion as one the best seniors and classmate if not the best was called out to be punished most bit knowing what happened and some not matter was is said won't believe I have done something but then there's no how you will have lovers and not have haters so there were some people who were happy to see me hang especially one of my senior's Niyi who really didn't like majorly because I was better than him in everything not that I competed with him (you should know me better by now) but he always finds a way to turn everything into a competition, he wanted to be better and here was his chance to drag me in the mud. The principal continued talking

"He was reported to have molested Regina Daniels sexually after prep on Tuesday night when running an errand by the hostel mistress.  Now his punishments are 2 weeks suspension from school and all extra curricular activities which was later appealed for because my coach couldn't risk me not coming for training so I was allowed to go for football training) and since he will not be doing anything in the hostel he will weed the school compound and and also the school farm and lastly 20 strokes of the cane for the next 2 weeks starting today,  Mr Williams if you will be so obliged"

Then Mr Williams took the cane and was about to start whipping then Niyi comes up to suggest that I be carried but then the head boy Anu rejected and told him off, I was flogged but then as any Nigerian sec school boy I dusted or like we say I chested the strokes of the cane meaning I didn't cry or feel the pain. Then I was dismissed to go start my punishment.

The rest of the day was uneventful mainly because of what happened to me a lot of students were touched and were very sad and even the lunch break was very boring

Today starts rather dreadfully, Niyi comes to wake me up to since I was serving my punishment it was a very good reason for him to torment me and do whatever he likes, so he wakes me up with a bucket of water shouting as he was pouring the water, I get up and then he shouts at me to go fetch him water to take his bath, I wasn't going to accept because well if you going to take your bath you should go  fetch the water  yourself. As I refused to go like 4 of his started pounding me, first the very first time I secondary school I was beaten up it was like the end of the World but then again it gave to my blacklist, well I don't have enemies but if your name enters my blacklist or my friends then well you might just leave the school because we will come down on you hard, I didn't want to have a blacklist because I don't believe in punishing people or actually I don't have the heart for it, I'm too sympathetic but these guys have pushed me to the edge, me getting beat up, nah that should not even happen to me like every other thing can happen but that and some other things cannot happen I cross the line in some certain things so yes my blacklist began

I got up from the beating in pains, managed to go serve my punishment for the day and training. It went on like that for the next four days. I was beaten by Niyi and his gang but then I just took the beaten and did nothing while planning my sweet revenge, for 2 days the beatings were intense as I would come to fine out that he didn't want to in football training, wanted my spot on the team which he could only get if I didn't come to training, now I was way better than him in football like he's a 4/10 and I'm like a 8/10 more like like 9.
