Another Dating Adventure

Ok Sunday comes and it starts like this, church was the same you know, we were joking at the back and  passing notes to each other ad the church prayed, you know the usual stuff but then again going back to the hostel and it was time for our normal Sunday afternoon football and bet. Betting on sundays is for bragging rights for the week and the be the best team you have to win the most money. The best team of the week for last week was Mario, Abraham and Tunde so this week I was determined not to let them win again. I would have had the bragging rights last week but I was short one player and this week I had a better plan so we played our hearts out and think we must have played for like 3 hours and still ended up with penalties because one team has to have the bragging rights. Wr were about to start playing The penalties when Kate's younger sister calls my name

"senior Adura" I look back "hey what's up, how are you"  I said and she replied " I'm fine, my sister told me to tell you it's time it started already"
"Oh I'll be there in 10 minutes" I said and she left
I faced the ball back so we can take out penalties and everyone is looking at me,

"what's it let's play" I told them "uhhhh what was that and what has started" Abraham asked,

I replied " nonya"

"Ohh nonya huh then we ain't playing shit untill you tell what's happening" Abraham said back and they all sat down

"It's a family function they are having and Kate invited me to come so she can use me for an excuse to leave early " I explained although lying but I could tell them what was actually happening

"Really?? So if all the people in this school she could invite she chose you" Mario said sarcastically

"Well yeah, she did, got a problem?" I replied immediately also sarcastically

As he was about to reply I hit with " Tell it to the hand" making a girl like gesture with the palm of my hands to his face and the other on my waist and everyone bursted into laughter
My team won the penalties so my tram had the bragging rights for the week, yeaahhh.

30 minutes later I show up at Kate's fellowship with her already waiting anxiously as her elder cousin was already waiting to see the guy that got her beloved cousin. As I entered the living room where the fellowship was taking place,it was so lively and the atmosphere was so cool and welcoming though I don't know why they call it a fellowship because theirs was more like a family and friends get together, I mean the setting was that of a small party. I look around to find Kate and as I was looking I saw this lady walking towards me and this lady was fine like she was tall, dark skinned which was shining, her teeth was white as she smiled at me, she walked with the finesse of a queen and for the first time in forever I couldn't take my eyes off this lady, she looked absolutely stunning in the short black gown she was wearing, with a low heels opened toe shoe, a thin gold chain with a heart pendant and 2 gold bracelets. Her legs where long, beautiful and smooth you could lick them, she looked very good and then she said

"Hey you, what took you so long", opening her arms to hug me

"I'm sorry, had to freshen up and not look like I had just been brought from the zoo", I said smiling and hugging her back, she laughed. Didn't know who it was but just did it so it doesn't look awkward
After the hug I recognized the voice and looked at her well

"Kate??", I asked looking very shook

She laughed and she said "Yes??"

"What happened to you, how did you change to this majestic creature? Who did this to you" I asked all at once

She looked at me and said this is how I have always been and I said "Nope I think I would have noticed'
You never really notice this sort of thing Adura I know you too well

"But I must say you look beautiful this evening, emphasis on the beautiful"
She smiled wide then another person walked up to us

"Kate won't you introduce your friend to me", Kate's elder cousin said

"Oh Sister Seyi this is Adura the guy I told you about"Kate said introducing me to her cousin

"Oh so this is Adura" she said trying to measure me

"Good evening Ma, trust your day was wonderful, lovely house you have Ma, and I must say you look beautiful this night Ma" I said with a big grin

"Hmmm nice, lovely approach, good manners, she said looking at Kate, Kate smiles

Walk with me"  she said looking at me

"Adura, Kate has never brought home any guy not that she should at her age but I'm the cool aunt and the world is rapidly changing so instead her doing things behind the family's back that may hurt her later I decided to allow her do it under my supervision which is why I asked her to invite you over" she stopped for a minute and looked at me to see my expression and look about intimidating, she continues

"I know you guys of nowadays are adventurous to put it in good terms so I wanted to know who you are and how you think so as to know if I would give the go ahead and I'm sure you know you're not the only one after my cousin but she chose you so please tell me about yourself" she ended

"Ma, my name is Adura Babatunde, I'm from Ondo state, my dad is an accountant, my mum is a civil servant works at the airport, I have 2 siblings Ayo and Joshua"

Wait wait is your sister the Ayo Babs in SSS 1?" she cuts in and asks

Yes Ma she is" I answered

So you are Jay Babs" she asked again

Yes I am Ma" I answered

Wooow my cousin really knew what she was going for. She said laughing

I thought I heard you are the guy all the girls want to date but is not dating any?" She said as if to ask

I answered, well that depends Ma"

"So what did you see in my cousin to ask her out
It just happened Ma, I liked her, I have for a while di I decided to just finally ask her out even though I was scared she might say no but she agreed surprisingly" I told her

She smiled and said she likes you too cause she always tells me about you, ok I know enough now please be careful and don't go overboard with anything" she said sternly
Yes Ma" I replied.

Kate then brought a drink for me and ask
How did it go?"

"It went well, you didn't tell me you had already downloaded my history to her "

She looks down shy
"What you looking for on the ground?" I teased

"Nothing, leave me joor". She said shy

"Now that that is done, what next for us" I asked

"Now we keep up appearances' she replied

"Hmm speaking of appearances, will there be kissing cause I think there should be you know for people to believe us well" I said trying to influence her decision

"Only if the situation is an extreme one, no kidding just maybe holding of hands and maybe holding of waist and if it's a very good day a peck on the cheeks maybe"  she replied

Hmmm" I pouted, "well I think I can go back to the hostel now"

"Oh ok lemme walk you out then" Kate
"Oh thanks lemme say goodnight to sis seyi"
On the way it was silent, didn't know what to say
When we get to the gate that leads backs to the hostel

"Ok then guess we'll see tomorrow morning at school"I said

"Yes we will" she replied

Goodnight then" Adura

Good night", Kate

She leans in to hug and I hug her back and then she kisses me,turns back and starts running
I was caught by surprise but didn't know what to say and didn't think she'd want to be pursued, not that I wanted to anyways I just opened the door to the hostel and went in I was too tired
