•Jessie's Point of View•

It's been a few months since I first met Dean and Sam. I'm still living in the bunker but I'm strictly on research duty. After what happened with the witches and the hexing, everyone agreed (except me) that I'm too inexperienced to go hunting again. I don't really care that the witch practically made me a human baked potato. Sure I could've died from my temperature skyrocketing, but I didn't. Shouldn't that count for something? I've argued with Sam and Dean about the hunting thing. I want to go. I want to be of some use and actually be helping them. They could easily do research themselves. I want to be more useful and more helpful than that.

By now I've kind of given up on arguing. It's been like five months and they still won't budge. I know I'm not too experienced but in the end I know they'll always be there to help me if something does happen. They're practically my best friends now. I trust them with my life.

Now, I have my very own mattress laid on the floor of Dean's room. I've grown closer to him than with Sam. I guess we just clicked. Kevin has been gone for a few months. He hates being locked up in here. I don't really mind it. Sam and Dean bring amazing food and I like being around them. We try to take some time once a week to watch something together. I'm usually the one making the movie and tv show suggestions. Spending quality time together like that was my idea. It's another way for me to help them since I can relieve the stress they have.

So apparently there's a new case today. There has been a few people disappearing and some bodies found too. The blood was sucked from them. I, for one, would love to work this case. Since that vampire tried to kill me once, I'd like to get revenge for those people who are harmed by their kind. I'm guessing vampires are the source of this case. It seems obvious with the bodies sucked dry.

"Dean, could I talk to you for a minute?" I asked as he talked with Sam about the case.  "Sure," he said as he followed me. I stopped a little bit away from Sam and looked at Dean. "I want to work this case," I stated with a tough tone. I was trying to act brave and strong so they won't see me as weak and a liability. "No," he said as he started dead straight into my eyes. "You know why I want this case specifically," I said. He nodded and still said no. "Why? I can defend myself!"

"You still are inexperienced," he said with a straight face. It was hardened with seriousness.

"I can't gain experience if I don't do anything!"

"You're not going hunting and that's final," he said as he started walking away. I grabbed onto his arm and he turned around. "Please. I'm begging you. I need to do this," I said.

"Why can't you just take no for an answer?!" Dean yelled. I backed away and my vision got blurry with tears. "You know why," I answered. Dean sighed and apologized for yelling. "Why can't I go? You know I can shoot. You know I'll do my best and I know you, Sam, and Castiel can help if something goes wrong! So why?!" I yelled with fury. I hate being told what to do and I'm not taking it anymore. "Because I DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOU!!!" Dean yelled. It was the loudest yell I've ever heard. Sam and Cas came running to us. "I don't want to lose you," Dean repeated quietly. His face was filled with pain, the most extreme pain I've ever seen. Tears escaped my eyes and I fell to the ground. I'm such a jerk. I only see what I want. I don't consider how others feel. I'm a horrible person.

Dean threw a chair and stomped away to his room. The door slammed and everyone jumped. "I'm sorry," I said with a sob. Sam embraces me in a hug and I cried into his shirt. Cas watched with a sympathetic expression on his face.

We heard the door open and Dean came out. Sam backed away from me as he speed-walked to me. Dean crouched on his knees and held my hands. His eyes stared into mine. "Everyone around me dies. I need you to stay safe, you hear me? You're my best friend. I need you," he said. I had my ugly crying face as I nodded quickly and hugged him tightly. "The positive outcome from human emotions," Cas stated. "Yup," Sam added. I started to laugh and pulled away from the hug so it wouldn't be awkward with me laughing into his shoulder. He put his hand on my cheek and his mouth angled upward into a small smile. With his other hands, he wiped away my tears. "Turn that frown upside down. Let me see that beautiful smile," he said softly. Obviously that made me smile but I heard someone sniffling behind me. I turned around and saw Cas wipe away a tear. "Aw, Cas, are you crying?" I asked as I stood up. "It's just cute. I'm sorry," he answered. I got up and hugged him too. "And now there's the joy of hugs," Sam said in a way that mocked Cas.

Sam and Dean joined in on the hug and everyone was happy. It was getting late so we decided to watch a movie and then everyone would work on the case tomorrow morning. I sat down on the floor with a blanket as we watched. Everyone else was laying on their stomachs on Sam's bed. I had a movie downloaded to my laptop so we all just decided to watch it in Sam's room. I bought that laptop last month to entertain me while everyone's gone. The laptop was at the end of the bed so I could still see the screen a little bit. I really wasn't paying too much attention since my eyes were starting to close. I tried hard to keep them open. "You tired?" Sam asked. I nodded and yawned. Sam offered to take me to my mattress but I said I'd try to stay awake for the movie. That obviously was a huge fail because I fell asleep a few minutes later and by the time I woke up, it was three in the morning. Everyone fell asleep on Sam's bed and the laptop was still on. I shut it off and tried to go back to sleep but I was restless. I just wasn't tired enough to ignore how hard the floor was so I found a tiny space by everyone's feet on the bed. I curled up into a ball and fell asleep quickly with one thought in my head. Something is coming.
