•Jessie's Point of View•

"I'm tired of you always telling me what to do! You can't control me!" I yelled. My boyfriend is always trying to control what I do. He tells me what I can and can't do all the time. He even controls who my friends are and I'm tired of it. I want to leave him. "I'm not controlling anything!"

"Yes you are! You control who I talk to, where I go, what I do! I'm sick of it! I'm leaving!" I grab a suitcase from under the bed and start packing my clothes. I don't even have a place to go but I don't care. Anywhere is better than here. "Don't go. We can work this out," he says. I roll my eyes. "I've heard that before and I'm done." I zip up the suitcase and walk away from him. I bring it to the front door and leave without looking back.

I walk for about a half hour and stop to check my phone. It's at 50%. I can't really call anyone anyway. I have no one to stay with so I'll just keep going. Crack. I hear the sound of a stick cracking. I look behind me and all I see is darkness. I try to walk faster just in case. My heart starts racing. I hear the crack again. Is someone here?

Suddenly I feel something grab me. I scream as loud as I can. "Shhh! I'll make this quick." I start to cry. Is this really the end? Is this person going to kill me? "Hey, you!" I hear from a distance. "The Winchesters," my attacker says. I don't even know what's going on. "You let her go and I won't gank you," someone says.

"Let me think about that....no."

"Well we'll have to do this the hard way." As the attacker is distracted I managed to elbow him in the stomach and he let go for a second. I ran as fast as I could and heard a slicing noise. When I looked back, the attacker was dead and next to the body were two men. I collapsed to the ground as I cried. A feeling of relief swept over me. Today is not the day. I won't die today.

The men ran to me. They kept a respectful distance and weren't too close. One of them even dragged my suitcase to me. "Thank you so much," I said as I tried to stand up. My legs were a little shaky so I tripped. The shorter man helped catch me. "It's no problem. Do you need a ride home?" I nodded my head. "I just left my ex boyfriend's house. I have nowhere to go." I cried more. I usually never cry this much but there's so many feelings overflowing. "Could you give us one sec?" The taller man asked. I nodded. They walked away and came back a minute after. "Would you like to come with us? We're staying at a motel a few minutes away." I nodded and hugged both of them. They hugged back hesitantly and lead me to their car. "Woah. Is this an impala?" I asked. "Yup," the shorter one said happily. "This is my dream car! You're so lucky."

"You see that, Sam? Her dream car." From what I've seen, the taller one is Sam. I don't know the shorter one's name but I'm guessing he's the one who owns the car. I got in the back and put my seatbelt on. Sam put my suitcase in the seat next to me and then got into the passenger seat. "What's your name?" I asked as I scooted up closer to the shorter man in the drivers seat. "Dean. Dean Winchester. That's my brother Sam. What's yours?" He asked. "I'm Jessie Porter." Dean started driving and smiled at me. I blushed and scooted back in my seat. "You guys are amazing. I'm so grateful that you saved me," I smiled as I wiped some extra tears off my face. I probably look like a mess. That's kind of embarrassing. "It's no problem. We do this all the time," Sam said. "All the time?" I asked. "We're hunters. We hunt things like ghosts, vampires, leviathan, and demons." I nodded. These guys must be crazy. If they aren't crazy then what attacked me before? The dude looked human to me.

We arrived at the motel and Dean opened the door for me and helped me out. Sam got my suitcase. I followed them until we got to a room that they unlocked. They let me in first and I thanked them. "Could I use your bathroom? I must look like a mess. I don't usually cry that much," I say. "The bathroom is right over there and you don't look like a mess. Don't worry. Even if you did, it's understandable. You got attacked so that's pretty scary for you," Dean said. "I was crying for more than that. I'm kind of mad at myself. If I hadn't left by myself then maybe I wouldn't be put into that situation."

"Don't be hard on yourself," Sam said.

"I left my ex because he was too controlling and I left in the night. That's dumb. I could've waited until morning," I say.

"You did the right thing. Don't worry. Everything will be okay. Look, how about we get you some food and you freshen up," Dean suggested.

"Would you mind if I take a shower?" I asked.

"Go ahead. Do whatever you need to. We'll go get you something to eat. Do you like burgers?"

"I love burgers! That would be amazing! I haven't eaten a burger in months."

"What?! How have you survived?"

"My ex was always on a diet and didn't let me eat burgers. He said I had to eat healthy around him."

"Dang I hate that guy. We'll get you some burgers," Dean smiled.

"Could one of you stay? You don't have to. I'm just being a whimp I guess."

"I'll stay," Sam said.

"Thank you."

"I'll be back. I'll bring you the best burger I can find," Dean said as he left. I grabbed some clothes from my suitcase and thanked Sam again for staying with me. "Your welcome. I know that you're a little spooked right now," he said. "Yup I am. I'm going to take that shower now. I'll be out in a few minutes."

I went to the bathroom and locked the door. I turned the water on and took everything off. As I looked in the mirror, I realized I had bruises on my neck. That's where the attacker had one of his hands. I went into the shower and the warm water hit my skin. It felt good to finally be able to relax. I washed my hair and everything, then turned the water off. I realized I never packed towels. Great. I opened the door a crack and asked Sam to come over. "Hey, sorry to bother you. I just forgot I needed a towel so I don't have one," I said as I hid behind the door and talked through the crack. "I'll get you one." He walked away for a second, then came back with a blue towel. "Thank you."

I closed the door and dried myself. Then I got dressed in some pajamas. It's best to be comfortable. I picked up my clothes from the floor and the towel. I opened the door and Sam offered to take the towels and clothes. "I'll wash those for you if you want," he offered. "You have done so much for me already. I can wash them," I said. "I insist. I'll probably have to wash my clothes tomorrow anyway," he said nicely. "Okay thanks again." I handed him the clothes and he put them in a basket of dirty clothes.

Lights shone through the window and we saw Dean come to the door. I opened it for him and the smell of burgers filled the air. "You're going to love this," Dean said as he sat down on the bed. He handed us our food and I sat on the floor, next to his legs. I didn't want to accidentally spill any food on his bed. I took a bite of my burger and it was amazing! This is the best burger I've ever had. "What do you think?" Dean asked. "This is the best burger ever! Thank you so much!!!" I exclaimed.

After I finished the burger and fries I had, I threw away everyone's trash for them. "Come sit next to me," Dean said as he patted the bed. I walked over and sat down. I could tell he was looking at my neck. I felt self conscious about the bruises and covered it with my hand. "Oh I'm sorry. I didn't mean... I was just seeing how bad it was," he said. I moved my hand and smiled at him. "Can I see?" He asked. I nodded and he reached a hand out to my neck. He touched the bruise very gently and looked focused. Then he smiled and said, "It's not too bad. You'll be fine."

After that, I asked where I would sleep. Both Sam and Dean told me to choose one of the beds but I told them I'd sleep on the floor. They tried to argue but I wouldn't budge. I wasn't going to take their beds, so the floor is the best option. Sam laid some blankets on the floor and Dean laid one on top of me. It didn't take long for me to fall asleep. I guess I was more tired than I thought.
