Boruto's POV
I was running late for class so I ran until I reached the school when suddenly
"Hey! Give me all the food!" Chocho said though I sensed something wrong
Just then the purple aura from the ghost incident was on her chakra
"Give me... the food! Or else I'll eat you instead!" ChoCho said to the squirrel as it was chewing on chips from a chip bag someone threw away
I ran to get rid of her aura but then she extended her arms and caught me
"Thought you could sneak away huh?"
"No not at all! I'm just... going to the ramen stand!" I said trying to lure her away from the crowd
Just then, I used my rasengan on Chocho which seemed to drive out the ghost's aura
"What... happened?" Chocho asked unaware of what happened
As I walked over to her, I grabbed her and we ran to the academy together
When we got there, we heard Shino Sensei say,"No class today kids. We're going to the hokage's estate to learn about the hokage's day and how he handles the village."
I was in shock as I heard that we were going to dad's office as I ran out of the school's area
I ran to the mask shop to get a mask before the trip and just then, I ran into Uncle Sasuke
"Hey Uncle Sasuke. Whatcha doin?" I ask as he began to sense hidden chakra with his eyes closed
Just then, we saw kunai's flying towords as Uncle Sasuke jumping out of the way as the kunai's injured my arm
"Boruto! Are you ok?" Uncle Sasuke asked as he took me to his house where Aunt Sakura was
"He needs help Sakura! There were kunai's aimed at me and they were filled with deadly poison!" Uncle Sasuke said as he gave me to Aunt Sakura who used her healing magic to delay the poison's effect just in time for her to suck it out
"There. You should be ok... for now." She said as she got a call from Sarada
"Mom! Dad told me everything that happened. Is Boruto ok?" Sarada asked her as she looked at me as I was resting
"He's fine... but the poison did a number on him..." Aunt Sakura said trying to put a wet towel on my head
"Oh ok. Well, Shino Sensei wants to speak to Ms Hinata as soon as possible." Sarada said as Aunt Sakura was surprised
"Tell him that... Ms Hinata is busy ok?" She said as Sarada just shrugged and said ok and hung up the phone
Aunt Sakura took a big sigh as I found myself in a dark empty void
"Hello?" I called out into the void hoping someone would hear me
"Which path will you take?... will you live or die?" I heard a voice ask me as I was stuck on that choice
