Boruto's POV
I wait in darkness for an opening to get through and take control of my body
"How long until I can find an opening?" I ask myself as I saw a flash of light as I fell out to see myself standing in the middle
"STOP!" I yelled as they stopped charging at me and dad came up to me
"Get out of my SON!" He said as that guy grinned inside of me
"Dad it's me!" I said as he stopped and looked at my eyes to see they weren't red anymore
"Boruto?" He asked as the guy grinned and punched my dad
"Heh. You ninjas are nothing! Full power comes from strength alone! And I have a lot of power!" He yelled as dad looked mad and punched him
Just then, bunch of dark chakra left my body and I had control of my body again
"Boruto!" Himawari said as I collapsed from loss of chakra
"He's fine. Just unconscious." Sasuke said as Himawari looked at my dad
"Dad. Win this... For Boruto." She said as he nodded and faced the man who possessed me as grandpa put his hand up to stop us
"No. I'll handle this. This was my fault to begin with." He said as he ran up to that man and used a rope to restrain him
"Why did you show me mercy when I tried to destroy your family? You had the upper hand, so finish me off." He said as grandpa shook his head
"For the same reason you spared me. You know... I'm not the one who destroyed your village. I'm the one who saved it." He said as the guy's eyes widened in shock
"Your that cloaked guy?" He asked as grandpa nodded
"Your people were going through tough times so I stepped in. What I didn't know was that someone would use the transformation Jutsu to turn into me and make me the target." Grandpa said as he looked away
"I understand your anger but, I'm not the one you should be angry with." He said as he untied the guy who stood up
"I understand now. Thank you. 4th hokage." The guy said as grandpa nodded as they shook hands
"Come on. Let's get going." Grandpa said as the others smiled except for the guy who looked confused
"To where?" He asked as grandpa smiled and looked at his people
"To the Hidden Leaf. Your new home." He said as the guy looked surprised
When they got there, I was still unconscious as they laid me down gently on my bed
"Will he be ok?" Mom asked as dad nodded
"He'll be fine. He just needs to rest. He just had a lot of chakra expelled." He said as mom agreed as Himawari sat down on my bed and rubbed my hair
"Please wake up soon big brother." She said as mom and dad put their hands on her both of her shoulders to try and comfort her
With Minato and Osura
Grandpa walked the man around the village to help get him used to living in it
"So? What do you think?" He asks the man who smiled
"It a nice place. But... I don't think I belong here..." He said as grandpa put his hand on the guy's shoulder
"Don't worry. I know how you feel. My wife felt the same way until she met me about her red hair." He said as the guy looked at him and chuckled
"All about hair? I only don't feel like I belong because of the things I did." The guy said looking away
"And that's ok. Don't worry, alright?" He said as the guy nodded
"Alright, make yourself at home!" Grandpa said as the guy smiled and nodded before grandpa walked away
When Grandpa walked away, he went to the Hokage's estate to see dad was there doing paperwork
"I see that the hidden leaf was upgraded." He said as dad just chuckled
"Well, it was different from when you were hokage dad." He said as Grandpa sat down in one of the chairs in the estate
"You really grew up when I wasn't looking, son. Your an amazing father, a great hokage and you made others feel more at ease when your around. I've never been so proud of you." He said as dad smiled and went back to paperwork
"I did get it from you. It's thanks to you I grew up in an environment that I can be disciplined in." Dad said as grandpa chuckled nervously
"That's not... forget it." Grandpa said as they kept talking
"By the way... that Neji kid you 'revived'... he was still alive." Grandpa said as dad's eyes widened
"Wait what? What are you talking about dad?" He asked as grandpa who looked at dad
"The guards told me. He had a shadow clone double during the war to make it seem like he was dead." He told dad who thought for a second
"Actually, I did feel like something was off that day. He felt cold. I didn't feel any heat from him." Dad said as he got up and opened the door for grandpa who walked out
"Thanks dad for telling me." He said as grandpa nodded and walked out
"Oh, and Naruto?" He said as dad looked at him to see what he wanted
"Our time is almost up. Their calling us back to the afterlife." Grandpa said as dad looked surprised as grandpa explained
"We have 5 days left to stay in the land of the living. So, it's almost time to say goodbye." He continued as dad hugged him
"I understand..." Dad said as grandpa left the office
Back to where Boruto was
I woke up from a nightmare I was experiencing to see Himawari sleeping on the side of my bed with Sarada as I blushed seeing a girl in my room
"H-HEY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY ROOM?!" I yelled as she woke up startled
"Boruto your awake!" She said as I got very annoyed
"Yeah I'm awake! But that's not the point! What are you doing here?!" I asked again as she held my hand for some reason
"I... was so worried." She said as she blushed and I blushed as well
"That's... a little out of character for you." I told her as she chuckled
"What's wrong with that?" She asked as I looked away and smiled
"Boruto! Himawari! Can you please come here please? We need to talk." Grandma yelled as Sarada stood up
"Well, I guess I'm gonna get going. I'll see you tomorrow Boruto." She said as she left out of my room
When she left, I made my way to the kitchen to see Hima was sitting in one of the chairs
"What's going on?" I asked as grandma cleared her throat and began to speak
"Your grandfather and I don't have much time. Its almost time for us to go back to the afterlife. Which means... its almost time to say goodbye." She said as our eyes widened in shock
"Wait what? You and grandpa are leaving?" I asked as she nodded
"We only have 5 days left before we have to go back." She said as I got angry and ran out of the room
"Brother, wait!" Himawari yelled as I closed the door behind me
"Sorry Boruto. But we can't stay here any longer. I hope you can forgive us" She thought as I kept running
I made my way to the hokage's estate and walked in as I saw my dad waiting for me
