Chapter 1

You were hanging around in an abandoned factory after school. You heard foot steps, you hid behind a pillar as the foot steps ran past you. After a few seconds your louder running foot steps, it was a bigger group of people this time.

"Huh? What's happening?" You wondered, you followed the noise. You silently followed behind, there were guys carrying guns. They surrounded one guy, he was super hot.

"Why do they need so much people to go after one guy? And plus... The guns... Hmm..." You said to yourself.

"Not fair..." You said, all of a sudden you felt weird, the guys with the guns froze. Except for the guy in the middle.

"What is this?!" You accidentally shouted the guy looked at you. You turned around and started running. The guy caught up to you in a flash. You screamed. He covered your mouth.

"Shh..." He said. Things finally sounded back to normal. You heard shouting from behind you.

"There he is!"

"There's more than one!"

"Run!" The guy grabbed your hand and started running out of the place. The gun sounded, you winced in pain as your left ear felt deaf.

"Ahg! My ear!" You cried in pain still running, The man looked at your ear.

"It's bleeding... Shh... I'll help you later..." The guy said, he covered you in his arms. You felt a weird shock as he let go of you, you turned around and the guys were frozen again. That guy ran off somewhere in the tall grass, that was just a little farther away from the abandon factory. He made you sit down in the grass. He cut himself.

"Open your mouth..." He said, the blood dripping.

"What? No! I'm not drinking your blood!" You screamed, you tried getting up but he pulled you down.

"You want to be deaf forever?" He asked, you paused for a bit and lowered your self. You slightly opened your mouth as he dripped a few drips in to your mouth. His blood was sweet, it didn't taste like iron. You felt your left ear hearing noised better again.

"Hey.. I can hear again..." You said, the guy smiled he turned around to run away. Since both of you heard the group of men start yelling again.

"What's your name? I'm ______." You asked, he just smiled.

"Tao..." He answered, he walked away and waved his hand saying goodbye. You followed him. He just stared at you.

"Just what are you? You look around my age..." You said, Tao took a deep breath.

"Look you'll be in danger if your around me!" He warned, you nodded.

"What are you? That's all I want to know!" You assured, Tao let out a huge sigh.

"I'm not supposed to even tell you!" Tao refused, you made a face. Tao thought about something.

"Wait... Are you even a human?" Tao asked you, you were confused at his question.

"No duh! Do I look like a freaking animal to you?" You said sarcastically. Tao thought about it more.

"You're weird..." Tao said, he gave you a weird look.

"What are you?! You already showed me your powers! Just tell me!" You kind of whined.

"Go away..." Tao said, you stuck by his side.

"Why?" You asked, Tao gave you a look.

"Don't you have a family to go to?" Tao asked, your expression went dark.

"I don't have a family... I live at an orphanage... Sometimes I sleep at the abandoned building..." You confessed, you sighed at your miserable life.
