Chapter 7

"Matt?" I spoke through the phone

"What ya need cutie?"

"Can you come pick me up?"

"Ya, where are you?"

I told him where I was then hung up the phone. He was at least 20 minutes away so I had some time to unravel my thoughts.

I was sitting there in the lobby for a good 10 minutes until I saw the stadium doors swing open, and out come Taylor.

I didn't want to see him right now so I started to walk off outside away from him.

I grab the door handle to the door that leads outside when I was stopped by a hand grasping onto my wrist tightly.

I turned around to see it was obviously Taylor.

"Let go of me!"

"I just want to talk."

"About what?!"

"About why you wouldn't kiss me in there."

"Are you kidding me!"

"What?"

"I have a boyfriend!"

"Ya I know but it was a one time thing. Everyone was watching, it was an embarrassment when you did that!"

"Oh, now I'm an embarrassment, huh?"

"..."

"Taylor. I know you like me."

"You do?"

"But I just, I just.. don't like you like that, I can't like you like that!"

"And why not?"

"I have Matt."

Right as I said that Matt walks in. I gave him the biggest hug I had ever given. While Taylor just stared at us.

I grabbed Matts hand then we walked off in the direction of his car, which was parked right next to Taylor's car.

I hopped in the passenger side and Matt got in the drivers seat, and then we were off.

"Tara?"

"Ya?"

"Why were you there with Taylor?"

"Because he invited me."

"You went on a date with him?!"

"No, no, no, just as friends."

"Why did you need me too pick you up then."

"Because."

"Because why?"

"Because the kiss!"

He pushed hard on the brakes that screeched!

"You kissed him?!? Tara how could you! Your my girlfriend! How could you betray me! I lov--"

I cut him off "I didn't kiss him!!"

"Then why did you need me to pick you up because of "the kiss"?"

"Because he tried to kiss me."

"He what?!"

"He tried to kiss me. We were on the big screen KISS CAM. But I rejected it as he was leaning in. I ran out and he ran after me getting all mad that I didn't kiss him and that I didn't like him like he likes me. Because, I like you.

"You promise that's what happened?"

"Of course."

"What do we say we keep our distance from Taylor for now on?"

"Agreed."

We got to my house and I got out. Right before Matt drove off I asked him if he wanted to come in to have done dinner, he agreed.

Matt has met the family plenty of times and they all approved of him.

"Hey everyone! I'm home." I called out to my dad, mom, and brothers who were sitting at the dining room table.

"Hey!" look who's with her, Matt!"

They all loved Matt, he was like part if the family.

"Come sit down and have some food." my mother insisted.

Me and Matt took our seats right next to each while holding hand under the wooden table.

Right then, at that very moment I realised that I wouldn't trade Matt for then world, let alone Taylor.

We both finished our food then decided to go out in the back yard on the hammock. Everyone else went to there own rooms, so we were alone.

We laid there with his arm around me my head on his chest.

He started to tell me some jokes, that he thought were soo funny. He would always look for a reaction out of them. It's only funny because he thinks they are. Haha.

We laid there having fun, talking about life and such. I forgot how relaxing and fun it was to spend time with my boy.

After a while of laying there and talking He lifted his arm from under me and got off the hammock, leaving me there. He ran around to the opposite side of the hammock and pit his arms under me then lifted me up. He spun me around then ran for the pool.

"No Matt, don't" I yelled while laughing my mind out. I squirmed and jumped while still in his arms until he let me down right next to the pool.

We sat down with our feet in the water.

"If you would have thrown me in, I would have brought it." I said to him while winding my fists back and forth towards him in a joking manner.

He laughed and said "oh I would never throw you in the pool, just push!" he laughed then put he hand on my back pushing me in while I grabbed his hand pulling him in with me.

We were laughing so hard until we came together in the water and finished the night off with a kiss.
