With Jay

The lightning bounced behind me as I flew. It was finally time. Time for the Trial Of Garmadon. I had a bad feeling about today. I almost didn't come at all, but I needed to do this for my team. I owed them this much before I left.

In my course of staying at the Temple of Lightning, I have decided that I need a new way to approach life. I feel like that approach is to leave the Ninja forever, or at least for awhile. I need to figure out who I am as a person and try to connect with that.

I haven't slept that much as the days towards his trial inched closer. Of course, it was due to a lot of things that have happened to me the past few days, but I was never going to get into much detail about it. We all have scars from our biggest battles, and I guess that I got the worst kind. I had a mental scar.

I knew that I was late. I am sure that the trial has just started, but I am going to fight til the very end because that is what you do for the people you love. You fight for them and their destinies.

It was passed time for The Trial Of Garmadon, and I just wanted all of it to stop.

With The Rest Of The Ninja

"Has anyone heard from Jay?" Zane asked everyone as they arrived at the trial.

"I haven't heard from him since his letter that he sent out." Nya said quietly, clearly blaming herself.

It was true though. No one has heard from Jay since he left. We knew that we were going to see him today, but it didn't stop us from worrying that something bad had happened to him. We couldn't find him like he said we wouldn't be able to. It has been hard on all of us.

"The Trial is about to start." Kai said as he was keeping his eye on the time.

"We need to be ready for the possibility that Jay is not actually going to come. He could have just changed his mind at the last second. You all know what a scatter brain he is." Cole said with a sigh.

"No. That doesn't sound like Jay. He fights for the people that he loves." Lloyd said with concern.

"I don't remember him saying that he loved Garmadon. He said that he was on your side because there is good in everyone, even though we all know that is stupid." Cole said with an eye roll.

"It is time guys." Kai said.

The ninja walked into the court room as they hoped that their brother was there. Of course he wasn't.

With the Ninja In The Court Room

Team Jay minus Jay sat on the right side of the room as Team Nya sat on the left. They all were worried as to why Jay was yet to make himself seen.

"Why do you guys think that Garmadon should go to jail?" The judge said as he looked to the left of the room.

"We have given Garmadon all sorts of chances. We tell ourselves that he is going to change next time. We say that he is going to get better and make the right choices, and yet he hasn't. Look at our city. It is destroyed once again due to the destruction that Garmadon has caused. We cannot keep repairing a city only for it to be destroyed once again. As much as I want Garmadon to be free, we need to think about the people who live here everyday and the lives that he has taken away and the lives and souls that he could." Nya said as she nodded at the judge.

"Your answer has been recorded." The judge said with a nod.

"Why do you think Garmadon should be free?" The Judge asked the right side of the room.

They said nothing.

"Well?" The Judge said as he was growing angry.

"There is good in everybody. Whether it be visible for all to see, or if it is deep down in the images and tears of the past.  We cannot blame Garmadon when he didn't even mean to do it. There is still so much good in Garmadon that we are all willing to throw away. Do you guys not remember that Garmadon had sacrificed himself for Ninjago? Ninjago wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him. You guys all forget about the good he has done for us when all you see is destruction. Garmadon isn't the only villain who causes the destruction of Ninjago. He isn't the only villain who takes lives or threatens them. I think that we all forget that." A voice said from the door.
