He must have fallen asleep outside because Harry was woken up by Louis when the sky was a deep navy and he looked around confused at seeing the stars above him.
"Wha-" He muttered to himself and Louis snickered beside him before leaning over him.
"Come on, love, lets go get into bed." Louis said gently, smiling fondly down at Harry. Harry rubbed at hie eyes and he looked back to Louis nodding slightly.
However beautiful it looked, he was getting a dull ache at the base of his spine and laying on the ground was not going to help that and so he breathed in the fresh night air and got a little momentum in him to get up.
Louis helped him stand up and after stretching his back to lessen the ache Harry took his hand walking still in a slight daze to the caravan. He made a slight detour to grab Ferdinand, pulling Louis with him to the apples before they crept into the caravan looking around them in the dark.
The others were all sleeping and Harry yawned as he moved to pull off his shirt and get comfortable, well as comfortable as possible in the uncomfortable bed. Once he was in the bed, Louis wrapped his arms around him and pressed up against his back. Harry smiled to himself as Ferdinand also moved to sleep in up against his chest keeping Harry nice and warm, two of his favourite people cuddled up with him.
"Night, love." Louis whispered.
"Night Lou," Harry said quietly into the room and he linked their hands together and once again that night he fell asleep.
The next time he was awoken he was once again aware of the fact they were definitely moving and he slowly opened his eyes and looked around the cabin. Liam was steering the horse while Niall and Zayn sat daydreaming out of the door.
Louis was awake beside him but he was reading his book and concentrating like nothing else in the world was going on. Harry yawned and nuzzled into Louis' side laying for a while as Louis continued reading.
He was hardly blinking and his eyes were following the words fast before he'd flick to another page and read a couple of words. Then once he'd read that he'd flick back to the previous section and continue that for a bit. Harry didn't question him, he didn't want to disturb him more than necessary and watching Louis working was rather soothing.
It wasn't until his stomach rumbled and he was very aware of how much that he needed to pee that he sat up. Louis looked at him, gave him a quick smile but turned back to his book and he put a marker in the book before turning the page.
Harry got out of the bed around him, kissing the top of his head once he'd got up and Louis smiled still looking at his book as Harry walked to the others.
"Morning Liam. Mind if we stop for a minute?" He asked Liam who looked at him, smiled and nodded his head.
"Sure, Zayn and I were going to swap soon," Liam said and yawned before directing the horse off the road onto the verge by the trees. Harry waited until the horse stopped before jumping down from the caravan.
Once everyone had peed, taken a drink and fed the horse they all jumped back into the caravan, Zayn took over the driving and Liam joined Harry and Niall at the table as Louis retook his place in the bed now writing notes in the book in the margin.
Liam and Harry prepared and ate some food while Niall kept himself busy with a puzzle which looked like it was missing a few pieces.
"Do we know how long we still have to go?" Harry asked through a yawn and Liam shrugged.
"It would help if we even knew where we were going." He said and Harry sighed and rubbed tiredly at his eyes. It was either going to be surprisingly short or go on forever he could just tell already. He hoped for the former obviously.
