Everything happens for a reason, they say, but you cannot find the reason for everyone to reject your invitation for a movie date. Somehow, everyone has some sort of valid reason to reject you. You would have assumed that they were all not keen to go out with you but that isn't much the case. Every single person you have invited would either agree first, only to inform you that they have something on later, or they would reject you with an apologetic look, saying that they already had plans on Saturday.
Your entire week went by with you getting turned down by every single person you approached. Even acquaintances, people whom you were not exactly close or friendly with at school, be it male or female, you tried asking them but to no avail. Probably your rotten luck had something to do with this outcome.
First, Hitomi, who happened to have extra lessons. Then you tried Sena and Rubi, whom said that they had club activities that day. You even asked your class representative, Kurumi, who also turned you down as she had class representative training on Saturday. You could elaborate more on who had rejected you for whatever reason but the list was too long.
You sigh in distress. Maybe it really was just your luck that everyone coincidentally had activities this Saturday. It was kind of understandable, however, since the school's twentieth anniversary was coming up and many were involved in the preparations. Since you were not in any organisations or clubs, you are basically not involved in any preparations.
Since you spent all five weekdays being declined, you ended up not having anyone to accompany you on Saturday. When Saturday came around, you still go to the movie theatres, by yourself, as much as you hated it.
You got a glimpse of yourself in the mirror once more, making sure that your outfit did not malfunction or anything and that your hair was in place. You gave your reflection a slight nod when you got satisfied with your final outlook, smiling along the process.
Today, you decide to dress up a little, since it was your precious and special date with you and yourself. You wore a light pink pinafore which ended right above your knees, pairing it with a white, collared, long-sleeved blouse underneath. To make yourself look slightly more feminine and cuter, you tied a black ribbon around your collar and wore white stockings. You styled your hair into a loose side braid, securing it with a black ribbon matching the one you used around your neck.
Once you were done looking through your appearance once more, you threw the necessities you needed into your sling bag--wallet, phone, metro pass, water bottle etc. before you slipped on your sheet white sneakers and headed out the door.
Everything went well for you although your heart was in shambles. You still felt heavyhearted from all the rejections you had gotten from the past week in school.
You exhale. Whatever, it cannot be helped that everyone is so busy, you just happened to ask them at the wrong time.
You arrive at the mall where the theatre was located at half an hour before the time slot you planned to book your ticket in. Glancing over at your watch, you shrug as you decided that you should hurry and get a ticket before the seats get fully booked. After all, this was an exclusive screening of a movie directed by a famous director, there was no doubt that the tickets would get sold off quickly.
"Fuck!"
You freeze in place for a brief moment upon hearing a familiar swear word accompanied with a familiar voice. Halting your footsteps, you crane your neck backwards, towards the direction where the voice came from. Your eyes widen the moment you see him, the one and only Bakugou Katsuki. Of course it would be him, who else would be cursing so loudly and angrily in such a public space?
A smile suddenly crept up onto your face. Maybe, just maybe, you could try asking Bakugou to watch the movie with you. If he happened to be meeting someone else, you would just give up and watch the movie with your lonely self.
