It was finally morning, and the first day of school at Wakefield High School.
I have some butterflies in my stomach but nothing to fuss over.
I woke up late of course and I'm running late, so I had no alternative but to eat breakfast in the car. My mother would never send me to school on an empty stomach so this was it. An apple and a granola bar would do the trick. I'm still stuck on yesterday, I still haven't told my mother or father about me helping those girls, nor do I intend to.
I would get my butt grounded for a year.

One day In Arlington.

ONE DAY.

Having my backpack on the floor I reach down with effort and unzip the front pocket grabbing my timetable.

First lesson is...
Chemistry.
With Mr White.

"Clementine"?

Shifting in the car seat towards my mother, she was looking over at me, but her eyes still settled on the road. We we're only 12 minutes away from school, but walking would take 20 minutes to get there, or in my case over half an hour, walking like the slug I am.

"Oh- Yeah"?

"I know this is all very scary for you but today will be a great day".

"New mom, new".

"You do seem very quiet I was just wondering-"

"Mom why did you have to tell Duck I was going to the same school as HIM"?!

"He was your best friend when you we're a tot, you two always use to see who could run around the house the fastest".

"He was always a jerk-"

"Clementine Faye"!

"Alright alright..."
"The point is he KNEW he would always win the kid is like insanely edgy"!

"He's a good kid Clem, you should let him try at the least".
"He was always sweet around you, don't you remember"?

"NOPE"-!

My mother sarcastically setting her hand down on my mouth I giggle at the though of me repulsing Ducks feelings.
Poor Li'l Guy.

Putting my timetable back, I catch a glimpse of the smaller houses next to each other down the street, the road we we're driving down was covered in leaves due to the autumnal season.
Beautiful.
The colors...
Chestnut, Amber and Garnet. Coming to life on the bland, boring concrete. We are now nearing on S. Dinwiddie St.

Oh shit.

"MOM STOP THE CAR"!

"Wha-

"Mom we're nearly there please I don't want to make an entrance could you drop me a block away from now on pleeeease"!

"Your not embar-"

"No mom I-"

"Go on, I understand". Her face beaming, handing me my backpack.

"I love you".

"Have a great day sweety"!

Closing the car door, she waves at me, driving forward. I smile momentarily, walking besides a large baseball court. Must be the school's pitch.
There we're a few houses in front of the school, now it was in view.
The parking lot is HUGE, crowded with cars, and students on the edge of their beat up trucks, studying, eating, talking, the usual.
But...
As soon as I walk into their territory, I could sense their stares, one brown haired guy literally dropping his book, landing straight on his foot, quickly scooting to it as he blushes bright red, pretending to act cool by combing his hair back.
