Downtown, Kai's P.O.V.
It was a beautiful early morning in the land of the Ninjago, the sun was bright and everything
was peaceful, the only noise that could be heard was the squawking of Zane's falcon flying all
around. Sensei had sent the guys and I downtown to go fix a few signs that had been broken
after our fight with the Great Devourer, even though we all groaned at the task at hand, fixing
broken signs, come on! But we did as we were told. "Ah, finally," Cole exclaimed, as I was
snapped out of my thoughts, seeing that we had almost fixed yet another sign. "All fixed up and
serpentine free," Cole continued happily. "Argh!" I exclaimed as I tried to use my fire powers to
help move this mission along, but sadly, after Lord Garmadon stole our golden weapons, we
have been powerless and I hated it. "Aw, this is frustrating! Our weapons are gone, and so are
most of our elemental powers," I complained. "I mean, we can still do Spinjitzu, but... Argh!" I
started to say. Once again, I had tried to use my awesome fire powers, but to no avail. Zane, who
probably has had enough of my complaining, started to weld the sign pole back onto its stand,
well I, complained some more. "I just feel so, I don't know, limited. And thanks to the Devourer,
our tank's out of commission, our dragons hurt, and now that the bounty's been destroyed we
don't even have a place to sleep!" I finished. "No one ever said, being a hero is easy. Though our
good deeds may never make us rich, they make us rich in other ways," Zane finally said after
having finishing welding the sign back into place, I just walked past him as he was being his
normal, inspiring, wise self. "Yeah, well, I don't feel rich," I responded back, being the hothead I
am. Jay, who magically had stayed quiet this entire time, picked up an old TV and put it in the
trash. "Ugh. I for one enjoy pitching in. I've always wanted to feel part of a community. Ah,
speaking of which, has anyone seen Nya? She said that she was going to help out as well," he
said. And with the magic of perfect timing, we saw Nya and Sensei on a motorcycle, with Sensei
in a sidecar riding towards us. "And I have. I may have found us a place to live," she chirped
handing Jay a piece of paper. "Really? But isn't there a waiting list about a mile long to live in
Ninjago City. How did you do that?" Jay asked. "I know a guy who knows a girl, and she knows
this girl who knows a guy. Well, this guy knows a girl who's a real estate agent, and she can help
you find a place, if you catch my drift," Nya explained as she just smirked at us. I literally just
stared at my little sister in awe, she really was the best sister anyone could ever ask for. But
before I could say anything, Jay Motormouth Walker, had to butt in once again. "And where are
you off to?" he asked. "We have to find a couple of components to fix the Ninja Tank, and my
dragon Ointment has finally arrived. It's a day's trip but once we get back, he'll be flying once
