200 hundred years ago, on Destiny's Bounty, Captain Soto's P.O.V.
I was in the Captain's cabin, writing in my Captain's Log. 'We have spent months searching for
this fabled Island Of Darkness, but all my eyes have seen is just ocean,' I wrote. 'I fear my crew
has given up, but I hold out hope that it exists. Captain Soto,' I finished writing, and I closed my
log, and put it in a hidden compartment on my desk. Then I went out on deck, and my crew was
singing a song. "Hardy, hardy, hardy, ho, hey, we all in a yo-yo-yo," they sang. "This is no time
for fooling around. Who's steering the ship?" I asked. "Don't worry, Captain. No-Eyed Pete is
behind the wheel," one of my fellow pirates told me. "No! Not No-Eyed Pete!?" I groaned
frustratedly. We call him No-Eyed Pete because he wears eye patches over both eyes, and he has
a parrot next to him, telling him which way to go. "Rawk! Left!" he squaked as Pete steered one
direction. "No, the other left!" he squaked as Pete steered the other direction. "The Island of
Darkness?" another pirate questioned. "No, you fool, he's steered us back into Ninjago. All
hands on deck!" I ordered as my crew manned their stations. "Brace for impact!" I yelled as we
headed straight for a wall, and tried to stop the ship from crashing into it, but it was too late. We
crashed and our ship sunk. And then... Nothing...
Present day, in dumpy apartment, Jay's P.O.V.
It has been a few weeks since we moved into our cramped apartment, and honestly, I really
missed the Bounty. It was almost 11:00 in the morning, and we were training Lloyd, while Sensei
sipped his tea, we were off to the side giving them as much room as possible. But it was kind of
hard with the amount of room we had. It was now Kai's turn to train Lloyd. Using oven mitts as
punching paddles, Kai instructed Lloyd to punch them 20 times each. "Good. Keep it up," Kai
said, as Lloyd was punching him with all his might. It was so adorable, but I knew that he would
eventually grow out of being adorable and tiny. I was soon snapped out of my gaze, when I
heard the sound of metal clanging. I looked around to see Kai on the ground. "Whoa, easy there
grasshopper," he said, with a slight chuckle. "He, he. I'm ready to face whatever you throw at
me," Lloyd answered. He really was the cutest. "Be careful with overconfidence kid. You're not
even ready to fight my little toe," Kai retorted. I just rolled my eyes. But before I could say
anything, Cole took the words right out of my mouth. "And you're one to talk hothead," he said.
Everyone just laughed, except for Kai, who looked insulted at Cole's remark. "I see that the
student has now become the teacher. You will learn fast, Lloyd, with lessons from the four
ninja," Sensei Wu said, looking very pleased at the work that has been achieved in the past few
weeks. "Great, now that that lesson over, how about some target practice... on Kai," Cole
