Tord awoke by someone knocking on his bedroom's door and yelling.
"Breakfast is ready. Come down and get it." It was Matt. Tord weirdly couldn't hear any emotion in his voice.
Was Matt mad at him? That would make sense.
"Okay.." Tord replied, sitting up and throwing the blankets off of himself.
He stood up, stretching and yawning.
He grabbed his hoodie off the edge of his bed, carefully putting it on to avoid hurting his arm more.
He walked out of his room, closing the door behind himself gently.
He sighed before going downstairs. Today was the day.
Today was the day he was gonna get Tom home.
He walked into the kitchen to be greeted by Edd, who handed him his plate.
"Enjoy!" Edd said cheerfully. It was as if things were normal. It was as if Tom didn't exist.
"'Enjoy'. Sure, whatever..." Tord mumbled, walking into the living room with his food.
He'd sit down on the couch, the opposite side from Matt.
It was like Tom was gone. It was like everyone forgot he existed. Other than Tord.
It was like Matt replaced Tom. He became..Matt just..became someone else.
He wasn't himself anymore.
Or, he stopped being the person we thought he was.
Though Edd took no notice of it. He seemed like the oblivious and naive person now.
Tord stared blankly at his food, unsure if he could eat right now.
It was a plate of two pancakes, some bacon, and a small side of eggs.
He stood up, walking into the kitchen and putting his plate down.
Edd was scavenging through the fridge, probably looking for colas.
Edd glanced at Tord, confused why he was putting his untouched food back on the counter.
"You okay?" Edd asked, finally pulling a cola out of the fridge.
"Yeah. I'm just not hungry right now." Tord replied, walking out of the kitchen.
"Oh- Okay..Well uhm, where are you going?" Edd asked, poking his head into the living room as Tord walked to the front door.
"I'm uh..I'm just going to the store." Tord lied, glancing at Edd, then Matt.
Matt was glaring at him.
Tord nervously looked back to Edd, who was smiling.
"Alrighty! Be careful." Edd said before walking over to the couch.
"Mkay.." Tord mumbled, pulling open the door.
He'd walk out, closing the door behind himself carefully.
"Okay. Time to get Tom." Tord said confidently. "Some grocery shopping." He joked to himself, laughing slightly.
He'd start making his way to the forest, just instead of walking he was running.
That would get him there quicker.

Once he got to the forest, he was out of breath.
He stood there for a second, catching his breath.
As he caught his breath, he stared into the forest.
He couldn't stop thinking about Matt though. Matt was so different now.
He seemed to hate Tord. What about Tom though? What would Matt do?
Matt called Tom an it.
After he caught his breath, he stood up straight. He glanced around before running in.
"Hey, Shit face! Where are you??" He yelled as he ran in. If anyone had been around him at that time, they probably would've questioned his sanity.
Honestly, people would probably question his sanity just because he kept trying to bring Tom home.
"Ahem- Thomas Ridgewood! Where the hell are you??" He yelled again, continuing to run into the forest. He paused when he reached the spot that Tom always seemed to be around.
"Thomas Ridgewood! Monster man! Void eyes! Whatever the fuck you want me to call you!" Tord yelled, laughing slightly at the nicknames he had suddenly given Tom.
He heard a growl quicker this time. He started pacing in circles, to make sure he wouldn't get suddenly attacked by Tom or something.
"Monster man! Void eyes! Void man-" Tord yelled again.
Tom cautiously stepped out from behind a tree, he was in monster form, yet looked extremely confused.
It was strange how easy it seemed to convey emotions with only one eye.
And even with that eye being a void.
"There you are, Thomas! I'm assuming you're confused about how I'm alive? Yeah well your dumbass only got my arm dislocated. Ya really gotta stop hurting my arm." Tord hummed. He was in a good mood today. He wasn't too mad.
And even if he was, it was mainly at Matt.
Tom growled again taking a step forward. He didn't look confused anymore. He just looked..upset. Not mad, but he looked upset in some way.
Tord casually picked up a rather small rock from the ground. It wasn't pebble size or anything, but it sure as hell wouldn't classify as a boulder.
He tossed it in the air a few times, catching it each time.
"So Tom, would you like to come home, or no?"
Tom growled, taking a step away from Tord.
He seemed anxious of what Tord was gonna do with the rock.
Tord took a few more steps to fill the space that Tom had taken back.
"I'm taking that as a no. Right?" Tord questioned, looking at the rock in his hand.
Tom took another step back, staring at the rock in Tord's hand.
"Hm. Alrighty then, your choice not mine." Tord hummed, throwing the rock.
Tom tried to cover his face but didn't think about where Tord was aiming.
His eye. It flew straight into his eye, making Tom sort of scream.
Sort of, because he was in his monster form. So it was like a growl mixed with a scream kind of.
It was like, there were two voices.
Tom fell back, morphing into his human form. He fell to his knees and hands, using one of his hands to hit against his head. He wasn't screaming anymore, but he yelped everytime the rock moved. Tord walked over to Tom, just watching.
It was painful for him to see Tom in such pain but what was he gonna do?
After a minute or so, the rock came out. Followed by blood and black goo.
"Y..you fucker.." Tom mumbled, glancing up at Tord.
Tord could feel tears in his own eyes- why?
He kicked Tom over, pinning him to the ground. Tom was surprisingly strong, almost breaking free of Tord's grip a few times.
"Let go of me you fuck-" Tom was cut off as tears landed on his face.
Tord had started crying. He couldn't tell you why if you asked.
Not right now. He had no answers to anything.
Tom stopped struggling and slowly looked up at Tord, confirming that Tord was crying.

"Please..Tom...I care about you...why can't you just..come home?.." Tord whispered, unable to raise his voice anymore.

Tord looked like he was about to collapse or something, but he was keeping it together somehow.
Tom stared at Tord, unsure of what to say. Tord had squeezed his eyes shut in an attempt to make the tears stop- as he couldn't use his hands.Tom broke free one of his arms, pulling it away from Tord for a second.

Tord just expected Tom to leave. Run away again. Something like that.
Instead, Tom reached his hand up, wiping the tears away from Tord's face.

Tord's eyes shot open. He was confused. Tom hated him..why was he being so nice suddenly? Why had he stopped fighting back?

Honestly, what was happening anymore?
Tom suddenly pushed Tord off of him, Tord falling back. Tom pulled himself to his feet, about to run. Tord lunged forward slightly, grabbing Tom's arm.

"T-Thomas! Please don't go..!" Tord pleaded, tears streaming down his face.

Tom paused, staring at Tord. Pain struck across his face. He looked so..broken.

"Tord..." He mumbled, glancing to the side. "Why do you want me to come home anyways?.." Tom looked back at Tord, locking eyes with him.

"I...don't know." Tord laughed slightly. "I just...I feel like I have to bring you back home.." Tord mumbled, looking to the side.
Tom sighed, stepping closer to Tord. He crouched down as Tord looked at him again.Tom pulled Tord closer, pulling him into a hug.

"I'm sorry." Tom whispered, his grip on Tord tightening slightly.
"..Are you coming home..?" Tord whispered back, accepting the hug.

Tom paused, thinking about it for a second more.

"..Yes."
