Ethan
I took in the sight before me and couldn't help grinning. I loved my life, handsome, banging body, soon to be Alpha and an ungodly amount of girls throwing themselves at me. What more could a guy my age ask for. Of course I would need to find my mate sooner or later but there was plenty of time for that, until then I was going to make sure I had as much fun as possible.
Running a pack as big as mine was not easy, I saw the strain it put on my dad every day. My dad, Alpha Daniel Macrae was the best leader of our pack history which made my pack Crimson Moon one of the largest and fiercest in Surrey. We were also situated in the best part, Surrey Hills pure untouched woodland to roam at our pleasure.
There were a few other packs in the area such as Shadow Hunters and Silver Blood but we often worked together to find rogues and keep the general peace within the area.
Then there was the Dark Claw Pack, they weren't happy unless they were making other people's lives a misery. We handled them but they were an annoyance.
"Hey E" Matt said slapping me on my back. "Your dad's looking for you."
"Why didn't he just use the mind link" I asked. "I don't know man; I swear he thinks its funny knowing that I'm running all over looking for you".
"So why didn't you just use the mind link" I asked raising an eyebrow. "Umm..." he shrugged and just stood there looking me. Shaking my head I patted him on the back and walked off in the direction of my dad's office. Matt was a good friend and loyal pack member but he wasn't one of the brightest.
Usually my dad made himself scarce when I was having a party, the fact that he was here now meant it was serious.
"Hey dad what's up?" Stepping into his office I noticed his beta standing in the corner and nodded my head slightly at him "Hey Nicholas."
"Ethan" he answered nodding back at me. I turned to my dad, "So what's up"
"Nothing too much, a few rogues were spotted near our borderline. They haven't crossed onto our land yet but I'd like you to remain aware". I nodded my head in response waiting for him to continue. "We have three more coach loads arriving for the weekend festivities later on this evening, Make sure your there to meet and greet. One coach is from the Blue River Pack and the other two are from Moonstone pack"
Packs often organised coming of age parties were a group from two other packs would stay with the host pack for the weekend. The aim was to basically find your mate and this time it was our turn to host it.
"Will they be staying in the pack house" I enquired. "Blue River will stay in the house as they are a slightly smaller but I have allocated Willow House to the Moonstone pack." I smirked and raised an eyebrow.
My dad was such a show off. Willow house was a mini mansion of sorts it had five floors but on land you could only see three, the other two floors are built below ground level. My dad and Alpha Johnson of Moonstone were always trying to best each other; Willow House had just had some unnecessary upgrades so I knew my dad was showing off. That and the fact that there would be at least sixty five pack members it made sense to place them in the second largest house.
"Will that be all" I questioned.
"No actually, as of tomorrow I'd like you and Jake to take over the pack rounds. As future Alpha you will need to start getting to know the Elders a little bit better. By visiting them often you will be able to ensure their needs are being met and check on their general health. I would also like you to include Scott Winslow on your rounds.
He hasn't been to the last two pack meetings and Chelsea reported seeing him looking disorientated and unkempt in town the other day. She said he was talking to himself and was oblivious to others around him," My dad stopped then and we all stood there in silence, each one of us contemplating.
