“Where am I supposed to put these plates?” I asked Sungchan as we’re almost done cleaning up after her cousin’s wedding.

“Ahm… Give them to me I’ll bring them inside.” she said.

“No. I won’t be letting you carry things. You know, you shouldn’t really exhaust yourself.” I said.

She sighed and rolled her eyes as she accepted her defeat.

“Fine. I’ll be watching. Erm… Just bring them inside. Gennie and Kyujong oppa are starting to wash them. I think.” she said and smiled.

“Okay. Be good.” I said and kissed her forehead.

“Ehem…”

Sungchan and I were both surprised to see his father lurking behind the bushes.

Sungchan eyed me and pushed me to go inside.

I looked at his father who’s glaring at me.

I gulped and felt nervous all of a sudden.

“Err…” I told her father and bowed politely and hurried off to the kitchen.

When I arrived there, I slumped to an empty seat.

“Yah Jungmin. What’s the problem?” Kyujong asked as soon as he saw me.

“I saw her father. I didn’t know what to say.” I answered.

Kyujong and Gennie exchanged grins and carried on with washing the dishes.

My eyes were almost half-closed when I felt someone massaging my back.

“Oh… It’s you.” I said to Sungchan.

“You didn’t come back. Good thing Hyungjun is around. He finished the cleaning.” she said as she sat beside me.

“Sorry, I fell asleep.” I lied.

“I know you got nervous when my father is around and I told him that he shouldn’t-“

She stopped talking as she ran to the bathroom and vomited.

I stroked her back as she threw up for several times which kept me worried.

After what seemed like ages, she stopped throwing up and I carried her to the bedroom.

I let her lie down and wiped her face with a damp cloth.

She opened her eyes and looked at me worriedly.

I smiled at her and bent down to kiss her goodnight.

“Sleep well.” I told her and I was about to leave when she grabbed my hand.

“Jungmin, don’t.” she said.

I watched her sit on the bed and she prompted me to sit beside her.

I sat beside her and held her hands.

“Will you bother telling me about your condition?” I asked her trying not to sound annoyed but I guess she felt it.
