Chapter Four:

Okay so, um I had a problem; I was enjoying dancing with Hunter way too much, and it was scaring the hell out of me.

Maybe it would be okay if he and I were friends, just friends. There’s no harm in having a guy friend right?

Perhaps I had been over thinking things; I mean it wasn’t like I was going to fall for him. I mean come on; to say the boy isn’t attractive is a hell of a lie.

“You’re a pretty good dancer,” he said and he smiled as he spun me around, pulling me to him.

Oh my goodness; Lord give me strength.

Although I was all flustered and confused inside; I managed to keep my cool.

“You’re not so bad yourself,” I said as he ran his hands up my bare waist. They were so warm; and he turned me around so my back was facing him. I saw Brooke dancing with Xavier, she was grinning from ear to ear and she flashed me the good luck sign.

I turned back around and he tucked a stray curl behind my ear, I have never been so sexually frustrated in my life. Hell I’ve never been sexually frustrated at all.

“You have really nice eyes,” I said, gazing into them.

Wait, why did I say that?

“So do you,” he said, putting his forehead to mine.

Oh no, I was not about to do this.

“Um…Um…I…um…I’m going to get a drink,” I said, taking his hands off of my waist and speed walking to the bar.

“Hey, why’d you leave him? Looked like he was about to kiss you,” Brooke asked, as she sat on the stool next to me; crossing her legs.

“I know, that’s exactly why! I don’t even know this guy, I am not about to go kiss him. Plus from what you’ve told me it seems like he’s a player. Mama doesn’t do players,” I said, as I asked the Bartender for a coke.

“Sweetheart, in case you forgot this is 2012; that’s how you find people. He may have been a player, but I do know him and I’ve always been able to tell when he wants something. And what he wants right now is you,” she said, her eyes were large and I could tell she was dead serious.

Her words scared me.

“Look, I’m not interested in him and I think you’re wrong in him being interested in me. It would be nice to have him as a friend, but I don’t want more,” I said, as the guy brought me my coke.
