I spent the rest of the day hanging out with Kylie and Asher and they showed me around the neighbourhood.

The three of us walked towards the small park at the edge of the town. It looked quite green, and it didn't look dormant at all in comparison to the overall surroundings in the state. It was, however, beautiful and natural-looking without a lot of human influence.

We stayed there, talking (me mostly interrogating both of them to get to know the school situation and residential area better) and hanging out around the small children's playground for a couple of hours before we decided to go back home since tomorrow was my first day of school.

"Hey, you're back!" Mrs. Stevenson exclaimed chirpily.

"Yeah, we went to the park for a while." Kylie replied. She nodded understandingly, "Alright. Dinner's in an hour." With that we went upstairs to each do our own thing.

I spent the time before dinner unpacking my suitcase and making sure I'd hidden my weapons and all my other possessions that could potentially expose my identity.

Once I was sure I'd done all that, I still had some time left, so I decided to get my phone out and do what every single teenager ever does; checking to see if I had any new messages. This was not the case and it didn't disappoint me. How sad it may be, I couldn't expect anyone to text me because everybody I know would most likely be too busy with their own life.

Internally shrugging, I decided to head down the stairs to see whether Miranda needed some help. Entering the kitchen, I saw her busy standing at the kitchen counter and preparing some good looking stew.

She must have heard me entering, because she turned to me, "Hey Emma. I didn't call you down yet." She frowned a little, like she didn't want me to have to wait. "I know. I was just wondering if I could be of any help?" I said questioningly. She beamed at me, "For sure! I wish my children would come down to offer me help. If I ever need them, I either have to blackmail them or force them somehow." I chuckled at her statement. I could imagine.

"If you could set the table, please." She told me while turning back to her amazing smelling food.

I didn't bother confirming and went to get everything. I still remembered where the plate and cutleries were from this morning.

Miranda and I finished at the exact same time and she called out to her husband and kids to come down for dinner. "Thank you for helping me, dear." She told me with a soft smile. "You're welcome," I replied, smiling back.

A couple of seconds later a stampede of footsteps was heard and the remaining three people took place at the table. Miranda and I followed, the former dishing up five plates before she sat down.

"Bon appétit," She told all of us, the others probably mumbled something like that as well as they were busy digging through their food.

After dinner I waited until everybody was supposedly asleep before getting in action. It was about ten o'clock at the moment and I heard soft snores coming from the parental bedroom, while it was extremely quiet in the other two.

I had checked the window before today and it didn't seem very difficult for me to get out, considering I had done tons of such things before during my training.

I snuck out quietly and didn't close the window all the way, or else I couldn't get in. I was stood atop the roof and shuffled further down on my behind, trying to make the littlest noise possible. Once I was at the edge, I tested the end of the roof and whether it was stable enough to hold me. It was.
