(George's POV)

"We will miss you!" My adoring father's shout in unison. Could they please stop obsessing over me moving out? I could just feel the stares of those around the building's entrance. I assume mocking the situation. I smiled politely in response and wave before my sweaty hands grip the handles of my luggage.

I turn to view my new apartment complex. My best friend of 3 years, Alex, proposed to me and two others that we should move in together. I only agreed as I thought I could get away from my dads. Don't get me wrong, I love them. But when the only clothes they purchase me are colourful sweaters and pull outrageous stunts like beeping 5 too many times outside of a potential girlfriend's house, you'd want a break.

My weak arms heave my patterned suitcases past the glass entrance and inside the main room.

A sharp woman sat firmly at a desk. Her hair was tucked neatly into a bun, makeup to perfection and red lipstick that complimented her chocolate eyes. Her desk littered with buckets of assorted pens. She greets me with a friendly smile.
"Good evening, sir. What can I help you with?"
Before I could reply a familiar voice interrupts.
"Absolutely nothing, Claire!"

"Oh hi Alex,"
He approaches us with a power stride and pats my shoulder.
"I'll take him from here," he gives a toothy grin to who I'm assuming is Claire.

Suddenly he's dashing towards the corner where the elevators are located. I haven't seen Alex this excited since his last birthday when I got him a proper camera. I smile at the chipper boy.

"Come on, George!"
"You nonce." I joke, once again carrying my luggage and making my way towards him.

Standing beside him in the elevator provokes me to ask some questions. He presses the number 17 and the steel doors begin to close.

"Alex?"
"Yes?"
"Who are we living with?"
"Some close friends of mine, I think you should meet them before I tell you"
"You know that sounded really fuckin sketchy, right?"
"L a n g u a g e" he hisses before running through the steel frame once again.

I follow him out to a corridor of 4 doors, two on each sides of the wall. He leads us towards the last door on the left, identical to the others aside from the number "42".

"CA CAW!" He shouts. I flinch at his remark.
"Alex what the f-"
Suddenly strong arms grip my alarmed body pulling me inside.

"A l E x" I'm shouting hysterically. What in hEcK is going on. My head is spinning while my limbs are flailing, desperate to escape the grip of this bear.

All I can make out in my surroundings is Alex's childish laughter.
"Ok *wheeeze* that's enough, James" The dwarf barely makes out.

"Awww" An unknown voice whines as I'm suddenly being grounded on what I assume is a couch.

I sit frozen, afraid to open my eyes as I try to recover from the monstrosity of the events that just took place.

"Alex, is he alright?" A third voice piped up.
"Hey, George? Are you alright, mate?"
I open my eyes to take in reality. All I want to do right now is cry or kill Alex and apparently my eyes were two steps ahead of me. I feel tears brimming but my anger takes over.

"Fuck you!" I shout, blindly punching his face.

"Agh, mate it was just a prank!" Alex retorts.
My eyes scan the room to view my potential new enemies. A tall, thicc, bearded man stands behind Alex's body rocking in pain. His face reads absolute shock but partial enjoyment.

A skinnier but shorter man wearing some ugly ass glasses sporting a worried expression stands just to the left of the closed front door.

The bearded man acts quickly after noticing Alex's situation and brings himself to his side to tend to his wound.

"Where's my room." I more demand than ask. He points towards a door. This acts as my queue to collect my bags and never see Alex's stupid face again.

What a wonderful introduction.
