(Will's POV)

From my position I could make out two figures having a heartfelt conversation.
Of course I knew exactly who they were.

George pulls Alex closer to him and sits idly, his face showing his usual expression of deep thought.

Wind picks my oversized hat off of my head and takes it off towards him.
Shit, my disguise.

George is puzzled by the hat and looks towards the large tree in which it appeared from.
Quickly I hid.

As much as I ache to see him, I fear hurting more so I keep my posture as straight as possible, hoping he can't see me.

All I want to do is run to him and hold is small body in my arms and whisper how I'd never leave him again.

"I ran for you, George. I could never return home because of what I've done for you"
I would see his eyes soften as he momentarily blames himself for everything. I would kiss him to sooth his thoughts. We'd be happy.

But all of that was just a fantasy. I knew it could never be like that. Even in the best case scenario, He would find a way to bring us apart.

I bring my head around the side of the tree trunk for one last glance. His dirty blonde hair was now over his eyes as he weeped. How I wish I could help or understand.

"Goodbye for now," I whisper to the wind.
"May you find happiness."

I vanished back to my cell in Melbourne.
"Oh, there you are," greeted Josh, my cellmate.

(George's POV)

The sun began to rise over the buildings in the distance.
Had we been sitting here that long?

"Psst," I shook Alex lightly, "wake up, please."
"Mmmrrr," he hummed in annoyance, "tired."
"Alex, we have to go. We've been here all night"
"Cold." He moved closer to me.

"Come on." I shifted my body from underneath him to stand.

After about 3 minutes of silence and Alex rolling around he stood up and stretched.
"I guess the pizza's cold," Alex pointed out.
"Yeah."

We walked across the grass in a drowsy haze. Alex kicked about a wide brimmed, floppy, black hat.
I picked it up to put it on.

Alex giggled at how ridiculous it looked. It smelled like dewy grass and a man's cologne. A weird scent for a woman's hat.

I took it off again and threw it to the cold wind.
"George," Alex stopped in front of me, clearly startled by something.
"Yes?"
"Everything that happened last night, do you remember? And I don't just mean James lying to us"
Wind picked up his fringe as he spun to face me.

"Yes. Did you mean it?"
"I- I don't know" his voice wavered as he looked in different directions.
"I think I did, I just, after James it's kind of hard" his anxiety grew present around us.

"Its ok," I finalised, "I'm not ready either."
"Cool."

The rest of the walk back to the apartment was silent until at last we found ourselves outside our door, contemplating whether or not James would still be home.

"I don't care, to be honest. I'm fucking tired so he isn't my first priority." I had stated turning the handle.
Alex just nodded although he was still unsure of the decision.

The door creaked open and to our surprise James sat in a ball hugging a couch cushion.
He looked to us with a tearstained face.

Beside me I could actually hear Alex's heart shatter.
"Oh, please don't cry," he began balling and ran straight to James.

"Im sorry Alex I- I didn't mean to"
"I forgive you but please just stop crying, I hate to see you like this," they hugged each other like they hadn't seen one and other for years.

"Well that's fantastic but I'm fucking knackered, night guys"  although I was astonished at how smoothly everything went, I couldn't hold myself up any longer so I threw myself under my covers and drifted away.

(Will's POV)

"So you're telling me you got in because you stabbed a McDonald's employee after they had told you their ice cream machine was broken?"
"It was the sixth one I'd been to and they all said the same thing!" Josh reasoned.

"What about you? You look like you've got some dirt."
"I killed over 30 people but that's not what I got in for. I set fire to a homophobes home but most importantly I ruined my true love's life."
"They sent you here because you hurt your mate?" He laughed.
"I did some horrible things to him. I wish I'd never existed if it meant he could be happy." Flashbacks flew through my mind of the torture, lonely crying and depression I'd caused George.

"Anyway, I'm planning on staging a break out so I can fix what I did."
"But can't you just teleport or something?"
"Well then I can't bring you with me," I smiled at Josh, "you're my only friend left."
