(George's POV)

"Good. Here's something more unsettling..."
"wait," I interrupt.
Will sits in silence, leaving room for me to speak.
"Look, Will. Before you finish this whole...confession? I want you to know that I think I love you. If the next thing you say changes that, just remember, please." I push my own confession from deep inside of me. I wasn't sure if I wanted him to know but I think I more needed him to know.

The Geordies features went soft.
"Love, I'm so glad you said that," Will's eyes started letting tears out. He looked happy for some reason.
"George," an arm was placed on my left shoulder, "I'm an angel. Or better yet, your angel"
I took time to render this.
He furrowed his eyebrows.
"For an angel you don't look too...angelic?"

Will appreciated the humour, knowing it was most likely a coping mechanism.

"You might want to also know that I'm your soulmate,"
George's heart skipped a beat.
His soulmate.

"I wasn't always an angel. Up until I was 6 I'd been human. I was involved in a tragic accident and because my soul was pure, I was let into heaven."

"So I'm meant to be with a 6 year old? Alex was right, I am a nonce" I might've been confused and scared but that won't stop me from making a joke.

"I'm 2 years older, actually. But if you'd like I can pretend to be 6 again" Will winked, clearly joking as well.

(3rd POV)

Will disclosed many divine secrets with George, seeing as time didn't matter to either of them anymore.

"Yeah, that strange fellow, James? I think he's also an angel. He's here for the pink one,"

"Does James know about you?"
"Yes." Replied none other than James himself.

"Oh my god." George froze. He'd briefly forgotten the conversation about teleportation.
"And yes, I was listening the whole time." said James, who had vanished again.

The conversation carried on nicely, George becoming more familiar with his partner each word they spoke.

"Will," George heaved, staring deep into the mentioned boy's eyes, "Can I kiss you?"
Will's features lit up, he's glad George accepts this.

"Of course, love" Will began moving closer towards George.

It lasted no longer than 3 seconds but to George it felt like years. He melted like chocolate into Will's hand that was placed gently onto his left cheek.
Fireworks went off in his head like it was some big celebration.

Will on the other hand was celebrating. When he first encountered George he was convinced that he could never get George to be comfortable with this. George's delicate features relaxed.

"I love you," George emitted, breaking the silence.
"I love you, too."

4 days later

"Will, can you tell them for me?"
"That'd be cheating," Will chuckled.

"Boys! Dinner is ready!"
Will placed a gentle kiss on George's lips to grant him more confidence.
"What could go wrong?" He smiled.

George was not prepared to come out to his parents. He knew they'd accept him but what if they don't like Will? He knew his parents had strong opinions and one slip up could ruin this whole dinner.

"Smells great, Mr. Andrews," Will chirped.
"Thank you," George's fathers spoke in unison. It was sometimes scary but he got used to it.

The young boys sat beside each other ready to eat. Although George found out Will doesn't eat, he would pretend for his boyfriend's sake.

The dinner went as well as the car rides. Horrendous. George knew how his fathers evaluated people.

With Will it was no different.
"What would you consider to be your best achievement?" This is what George would call the humble test.

Will answered nicely. His answer mentioned things about the books he'd read in his spare time. He considered reading very important.

"How was your childhood?" The test of how you viewed your past and what grudges you hold.

He said his mother was lovely, up until the accident.
"I was about 6, just started my education. After dropping me off she was pulling out and a car crashed into her. The car drove off and that was it," the story was genuine. Except he was also in the car.

George's heart ached for Will, the trauma and solitude of heaven must've been hard. All he wanted to do was hold him but alas they were at a family dinner and the tests weren't done.

A final test. "What is your favourite colour?" The easiest question but as long as he doesn't answer with "orange" or "maroon" George was confident his fathers would accept.
However this question also scared him the most. He's seen his fathers "accidentally loose" another family's pet or ruin relationships over this question.

"Easy! Sunflower yellow and a pure white, I always found comfort in them,"

"Aww sweetie!" They move to hug the boy.

You might now be wondering how this went horribly.
Well, upon leaning over to the angel's seat to embrace him, Will disappeared.

Fuck.
Fuck.
Fuck.
Fuck.
Fuck.

George sits defenceless before his stunned dads.

"Fuck" he iterates a final time,
