Clothes were thrown all over my room. Pillows were scattered on the floor. My room was an absolute mess. I was crawling on my hands and knees frantically looking for my silver locket. I lost the last gift my father ever gave me. I lost it. I have no clue where it is, or even where to start looking.
"Avery Jones! What have you done to your room it's a mess!" My mom scolded me from the doorway.
"Not now mom I'm busy!"
"Busy tearing apart your room?"
"No mom! My locket is missing. I can't find it anywhere!"
"It's okay we can just go get you another locket."
"No! That was the the locket dad gave me. The one I got for my twelveth birthday. The last gift dad ever dad ever gave me."
"Oh." The room was silent as I ran around looking under clothes and blankets. "Do you remember the last place you had it?" My mom asked. I thought back through my day.
"Well I had it this morning and before the guantlet. So, that's where it has to be!" My mom smiled.
"Go to the camp. I'll stay here and keep looking."
"Thanks mom." I kissed her cheek. Grabbed my jacket and ran out the door. I jumped into the car my dad and Aunt Jellybean made when my mom was pregnant with me. I turned the keys and drove off. When I made it to the camp I turned off the car and jumped out, carefully studying every inch of the ground. I turned my phone's flashlight on and shone it onto the dead grass. I was beginning to loose hope when I heard I voice behind me. "Avery Elizabeth Jones. I can't belive it. After all this time." The voice echoed in my ears and stung my heart. It made tears sting my eyes, and my knees began to go weak. I would've known that voice anywhere. I've been only dreaming of hearing that voice again for the last six years. I slowly turned around preparing myself for it not to be true. But when I turned around my knees gave out and I collapsed onto the ground in a crying heap. When I turned around the figure standing there, holding my locket in his hand, was my father. Jughead Jones.
