Patton's POV - Present Time

After some time, I eventually needed to leave Logan's side, even for a bit. I headed to the kitchen once more, wanting to eat a cookie or two. Not that I'm feeling hungry though. I'm just hungry.

Once I arrived in the kitchen, I was greeted by a strange surprise.

There looking through the cabinets was Virgil, or so it seemed. I dunno, I'm not sure.

This Virgil was wearing his old black hoodie and shirt. Also, even his eyeshadow was like that of before, less thick in application (yes, I know big words).

What's more strange is that he seemed to be in a rather happy mood, which was a rare sight to see.

For some reason, this made me feel nervous. But at the same time, I felt like something is telling me to relax.

I approached Virgil hesitantly before speaking up.

"So.... my lil' anxious kiddo is coming out of their shell?" I asked him with my usual tone in an attempt to mask my uneasiness.

Virgil turned around and faced me with a bright smile before replying, not seeming to notice my nervousness. "Yup!"

I felt my dread increase at the smile for some reason, but I continued to not to show so.

"That's good news! Logan and Roman should know this!" I suggested, clapping my hands twice with an excited expression. I didn't feel exactly excited though when I did.

Virgil didn't look atleast a bit uneasy about it. In fact, he seemed rather okay with the idea.

"Sure, go ahead!" He responded without hesitation or a stutter.

"I'll tell Logan and Roman when they show up later, okay?" I told him before turning my heel and walking away. The next thing Virgil said made me feel like something is definitely wrong.

"Sure, but please tell Logan to stop running into pans."
