(tw for blood)

The last few hours were an absolute blur. You only remembered being taken away by the amalgamation of metal and feather without even the slightest protest from the skeletal avians that had housed you while you were healing. Oh yes, speaking of your healing process, any strength you had regained in your wings was stripped away when you were tossed over the shoulder of your armor-clad captor. Lucky you, going from one "hostage situation" to the next. Now you sat in a dark, damp room. Not even your captor bothered to stick around much longer. It just hissed a few things under its breath about alerting 'Asgore' before leaving you to your own devices in what you could barely make out to be a bathroom. You could feel the cool tile floor with bound hands, but that was your only indication otherwise. You were pulled from your pity party by a hissing whisper ringing in your ears. A voice that you hadn't heard in a long while.

"Proud of your situation still, (y/n)?" The voice made your stomach flip as you were cruelly reminded of your... last interaction. The decorated blade suddenly felt heavy in your pocket. "You remember what I told you, don't you?" It continued, its inhuman presence heavy on your shoulders. "You're not stupid... or weak. You know what to do." Invisible claws grazed over your skin and tangled in your hair. The voice spoke no more, but you could still feel the heavy presence leaning on your right with enough force to send shocking jolts of pain to your pitiful pinions. You squinted in the dark room, bound hands fussing with your restraints. You were bound by nothing but shitty rope. With enough coercion, you could free yourself rather easily. As you squirmed as fussed with the fibers of rope you could just barely make out the sound of a door opening and shutting. You froze dead in your escape attempt to listen and the weight on your right shoulder lifted immediately. You were alone in this place with your captor just behind the door. Heavens above, what were you to do? In your panic, your mind began to fall blank. You resumed struggling silently, your panic dotting your vision even blacker than the dark room around you.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?"

When you looked up, the door in front of you was opened. Staring down at you was your captor, you could recognize her voice immediately. A creature composed of scale and plumage stared down at you with one, yellow eye. Her lips curled back into a snarl, rows and rows of shark-like fangs glinting in the little light in the room as she lunged toward you. In that moment you reacted swiftly, maybe a little TOO swiftly. You hardly even realized your bonds had been undone until you were throwing yourself back at the feathered fish with fury unbeknownst to you prior. She had the upper hand though, with her strength and speed she had you in her grasp quickly. Her nails were sharp like an eagle's talon, digging past the safety of the coat the skeleton siblings had gifted you and into your shoulders. Claw met bone in a mere instant and you let out a shriek, one that rattled the both of you. Your fingers curled around something golden and floral as you angled it to the stomach of your attacker. The same blankness from before overcame you, an eerie feeling accompanied by the same hissing whispers that sent you tumbling down the pit in the mountain.

There was a moment of panic where you froze, as if your consciousness was returning, but in that moment it felt as if something was taking control of you. The fish monster let out a shrill cry of pain, digging her claws deeper into your arms. The knife had slotted itself perfectly into her gut. You stared in shock at the hilt of the knife as it jutted out proudly. You still grasped it tightly, knuckles pale from a grip that could rival the claws digging into your skin. You looked up at the face staring down at you in horror, hands again moving on their own as they twisted the hilt, each movement earning a shocked gasp as she leaned over you. A hand was wrenched from your flesh as she reached out to strike your face. In retaliation, you brought your knee up to her stomach as hard as you could, detaching yourself from her and scooting away. Your back was pressed against the cool porcelain of the bathtub as you nursed the deep scratches along your face, your vision was clouded with crimson as you tried to keep an eye on your attacker. The fish monster was writhing in pain from the knee to the stomach, grasping at the blade in panic. A foolish move, really. As soon as she had gotten it free from her stomach, you could see her form crumple to ash before the blood oozing from the wound on your face fogged the last bit of your vision.

You keeled over, shaking as every last sound came to a screeching halt with the clatter of the blade. You were alone god knows where, and you had just done the unimaginable. Suddenly, your right shoulder felt heavy again.

"See? I knew you weren't helpless."

Any venomous remark that formed in your throat never made it past your lips as you crumbled to the ground, out cold from a mixture of exhaustion and blood loss. The figure settled beside you, combing invisible fingers through your hair. It let out a sigh, leaning back against the tub.

"We've got a long road ahead of us, you know. It'll go by so much faster if you just listen to me..."
