Vic's POV:
It had been a couple days since Kellin told me about the shows and I hadn't seen him after that. Tonight is the bands first official show at Decode. I'm so nervous and finding it hard to get ready. I pray that the crowd likes us as much as they did last time.
Tony walks in and lets me know that it's time to go.
"Alright I'll be there in a minute", I respond.
"We'll do great Vic, don't worry about it."
Was it that obvious I was freaking out?
He gave me a slight smile and walked out. I followed him shortly after.
We got at the bar 5 minutes late and the first thing I did was search for Kellin. I couldn't find him anywhere. He must just not be here yet.
I walked up to the other bartender, Alex, and asked "Where's Kellin?"
His face lit up when he saw me.
"No time! Get up on stage! You're late!"
We walk on to the stage and Jaime introduced us again. I'm getting steadily more nervous because Kellin isn't here. Ugh, I'll kill him if he forgot.
I was about to text him but Mike caught me, took my phone away, and gave me a stern look.
We decided to play Hold on 'till May as our first song. The music starts and I once again get the sensation of being home.
She sits up high, surrounded by the sun. One million branches and she loves every one.
Slowly I'm starting to become less shaky but I still hate that Kellin isn't here. How could he forget about my ass?
I started smiling at the lame joke I just told myself.
See you're just wasted and thinking about the past again. Darling, you'll be okay.
That has always been my favorite part of our songs. It means something to me and hopefully it'll speak to the people who listen to us. I hope to help people though our music. All of our music has a purpose and each lyric has its own meaning.
The song comes to an end the crowd claps for us.
It gives me enough confidence to finish the show even without Kellin showing up.
~~~~~~~~~Turns out the owner came out to see us that night. After we finished she came up to us. She's cute and seems nice.
"Hey, I'm the owner of this bar. My name is Hayley. Man, Kellin wasn't kidding! You guys are awesome!"
We all laugh and reply with 4 "thank you"s.
"I definitely don't regret giving you guys the Thursday night gig."
That makes us all smile.
"Well I'll see you guys around! Keep bringing in the crowd!" She turned on her heel and walks away.
At that time the band spreads out to get drinks, hang with the crowd, or go to the bathroom. I just decide to walk around to see if Kellin is here.
Oh crap! Mike still has my phone!
I turn around to follow him to the bar but someone's hand reaches out and stops me.
I look over and see a dark haired man. He's very built and about a foot taller than me.
"Quit the gig", he said to me.
I would have just walked away if his hand wasn't still keeping me there.
