Is there any technology that would allow you to go back into the past, to a place where you didn't even belong just so you could play the role of matchmaker or at the least let Karan know that he was doing a bloody horrible job?
Well, atleast that's what I think he was doing. I mean, I can guarantee that if I were there instead of Karan, Viraaj and Luna would have been a thing by now.
It had already been six months. Six months of going to school and coming back together, hanging out together, even sitting together and talking about the things they have in common all day long. One could clearly see them blush at the mention of the other and yet they were still just building the ship, Karan is definitely the worst architect. Well, atleast in my opinion he is.
Luna and Viraaj had been walking to and fro from school together for more than six months, and because it was Luna who Viraaj was walking with, he couldn't stay mute for a very long time. That is one of Luna's powers -she can even make rocks speak up, because how dare anybody and anything not respond to her questions.
So after these six months, Luna knew pretty much everything about Viraaj.
Viraaj actually was himself quite not sure how that had happened, but he believed this was the most he had ever talked. Even his parents found his talk tale very difficult to believe; that he could response with anything other than a "hi." And I guess it's safe to say they were really grateful towards Luna for having worked this miracle, (since introvertedness is SO problematic)they wouldn't miss a chance to personally thank her for making their boy "lively."
“Come on mom, why are you acting like this? It's not like I've never spoken before.”
“Hush, don't make me feel bad about listening to you talk."
“Really Mom? You are being very over dramatic, don't you think so dad?”
“Sorry bud, this time I am on your mother's side.”
“WOW. I am beginning to think I am adopted. Do you even consider me your son?"
“ Oh no, I don't consider you as my S-O-N, but I consider you as-”
“Don't you dare complete it! Don't even try that again Dad! No,n-”
“I consider you as my S-U-N !!”
You know that facepalming emoji that you find on your phones, that was inspired by Viraaj. As a matter of fact, that is Viraaj. Facepalming at every bad dad joke that has ever been told, facepalming everyone who is stupid enough to believe words and "mingling" are the only social cause a human was designed for and facepalming just about everything.
“I am literally going to run away from this house if you use that joke ever again.”
“Well, we revolve around the Sun, so we'll be around you somewhere.”
“That's it! Aren't you getting late for something? You both have reservations right? Go on, you don't want to be late” Viraaj said, aggressively pushing his dad towards the door.
“Fine, we're leaving. But we'll come around, just like everybody always does. You are the light, you're the energy, you are my S-U-N!”
“BYE!" Viraaj sort off yelled out while slamming the door shut at his dad's face.Viraaj had just settled back down into his comfy chair in front of the TV when his door creaked open.
“ I'm moving out!” an out of breath Luna exclaimed.
“What th-, How did yo-, What?”
“Oh , you mean how I got in?”
“Yeah! Obviously! I had locked the doors!”
“Oh, I ran into your parents, your Mom told me that I will find a key under the door mat. But like, why do you keep keys under the doormat? Isn't it the most obvious location? Have you not watched Savdhan India?”
“You watch that shitty criminal "exposing"show? You literally are telling me you watch Savdhan India?”
“That is not my point. Why is there a key under the doormat? I thought your Mom was kidding at first.”
“That's well, because I forget to take the keys sometimes, so it's convenient if there is an extra key out there. But you watch Savdhan India? Finally something I can use against you!" Viraaj said, smirking for the first time ever!
“Don't try to change the topic, I'm moving out!”
“Oh right, you're moving out.”
Luna expected a reaction from Viraaj, at the least an "Oh no." Anything, anything at all. But Viraaj just naturally went back to watching TV. At first Luna wanted to knock some sense into him, because he had clearly not realized it yet, but she sat down next to him instead. Viraaj, who had just picked up his soda can and taken one large sip seemed to have a sudden realization. He spat out all of a sudden, “Wait, what did you just say?”
“You realized faster than I expected you would, bravo my goldfish, your brain doesn't work at the pace of a tortoise, it's just a lazy cat.”
“What?” he was extremely confused.
“Never mind, the point is, I'm moving out, we're shifting our house.”
“Does that mean you'll be changing schools too? ”
“No, I don't think so, I don't want to leave just yet....”
“But you're shifting.”
“I'm not going that far away, don't worry about me, I'll stick around. Don't be sad.”
“I'm not sad! I was just thinking that I'll have to walk alone now, that'll be boring.”
“You're not sad? That's so sick! You're going to loose the closest thing you have to a friend and you're not sad?”
“WOW, you sounded just like Karan for a moment there.”
“I knew I shouldn't have made friends with jerks."
“Are you talking about Karan?”
“It was good when you didn't speak much! I shouldn't have gotten you to speak up, you can't even let me feel bad about moving away.”
“I thought you were already feeling bad about it.”
“That was until you spoiled my mood even more, now I just regret making friends with you!”
“I'm pretty sure I kept telling you that I didn't want a friend for a very long time."
“I am going. I don't want to talk to you.”
A frustrated Luna rushed into Viraaj's house and a very annoyed Luna was leaving. Why did hearing those words from Viraaj's mouth hurt? Did she not spend most of her time throwing such words at him too?She was going away, she was finally not going to be around him all the time, nobody would be on his back at all times, no one would pester him a million times for every minute he breathes.
“She's actually going away.” He sighed, as she walked away.
